A 5-storeys library with a huge variety of books. It has a different theme for each level. It has its own toilets, wifi coverages, charging station, a lot of seating and writing places. It has a children playground, a kitchen for culinary class and several rooms for audio visual and learning activities. A very popular place for study and one of the biggest regional library in Singapore. It also has a robotic bookdrop that will go to the main book collection point when it is already full.

I’ve heard some amazing things about the new Tampines Library and my recent visit to it did not disappoint. There’s a huge array of books and categories. Great collection too and many new titles are available as well. I love how open and bright it is and the many reading nooks available. There’s something for everyone here.

What an amazing library in the heartlands! As its name being a regional library its size is much bigger than most library in Singapore. This library spans 5 floors, has quite a number of sofas, table and chairs to study, a few culinary studio for cooking classes. A pixel lab for learning of coding and other IT skills. Some of the sofas have a wonderful view of the artifical turf pitch at OTH, others having view of the surrounding roads and buildings. This library also has 2 terrace seating areas located at 2 different floors. This library also has robotic moving bookdrop that vistors might encounter in the library. There is also a play area for children to have fun. Also I was greeted by a staff that is of special needs at the entrance for safe entry. The other staff seem to be patient in guiding and encouraging her. Big thumbs up for inclusive hiring and work enviroment. We need more of this in society to make sure no one gets left behind in society. Overall I was impressed by the design, planning and enviroment of the Tampines Regional Library. Hope to see more new libraries and upgrade current libraries to keep it relavant in our ever changing country as libraries will always have a major place in our society as a place to learn, relax and grow.

What a modern library in Orchard!! This place can take many good photos if you have good photography skill. Chairs along the window can look down the curve bookshelf nicely. Very comfortable environment overall. A must place to come Check-in if you are tourist, even locals should come to check out too. Bookshelf setup are tidy and modern with lights, make you want to go see different columns, flip different books outside of your mind. I like the books selection in their libraries. Many funny books there, like “How to wear socks”?! A lot a lot more. Amazing.

An oasis of quiet along Orchard Rd. The library has a great selection of books (many in English too). Interiors were wonderful with many chairs you can sit on to browse through the books. Perfect if you can snag a chair by the window too.

Libraries are always a good getaway from the hustle and bustle of a metropolitan city like Singapore and I am glad there is always one near a MRT station or within a shopping mall. This one in particular is near Somerset MRT station, occupying 2 levels in a corner of Orchard Gateway. Entry into this insta-worthy space is currently restricted to the 3rd floor. This library has a nice view of the busy Orchard Road if you want to pick a spot facing the floor-to-ceiling glass windows with all the natural light but without the tropical heat. The unconventional layout of curvy shelves created a sense of privacy and intrigue as you cannot see the end of the bookcase. There is also a popular stairway between the 3rd and 4th levels for social media worthy picture with stunning background… Who would think bookshelves can be sexy.

Had always our visit to this impressive library in Singapore. Its Free of Charge and always have very interesting events going on. Its a 12th storey high building. Nice views its offers when you are near the top. The building itself is also very artistic. The collection of books and informations were great. A very interesting place to bring your kids to visit and browse the display.

Probably the best library to work at in Singapore, it’s the biggest one with multiple levels of study areas placed mostly towards the ends. There are quite a few charging areas on the tables. Some tables are able to be booked by the library app, I recommend booking if you want to secure your seat for long because others can book it while you are studying and you have to vacate it. Can be cold after a while so bring a jacket. If you’re there to read it’s a great place too, with each level for different categories.
Harriet L. Dineen
Great library building with multiple floors dedicated to different library functions. Level 7-9 and 11 are special reference libraries with good collections on various specialized topics and ample space for studying and reading. A calm and quiet place in the heart of the city, especially during the weekdays.

A beautiful, spacious and well-designed library. It’s comfortable either finding a place for studying, working or reading. My kids love to spend their weekend here with the various choice of books. There is also a café inside the library. A foodcourt is also few steps away from the library.

With 5 stories, it’s the biggest regional library in Singapore. There are lots of space to read and they have pods that offer individuals privacy and do not disturb other patrons. It has great air condition. They also have a very nice community garden outside. But it can only be accessed via another lift on the ground floor.
