During the course of design, she was meticulous and run through the dimensions of the carpentry carefully with us so that we could fit our existing and new items. She was also very patient with the changes requests from loft to non-loft etc and always offered solutions. We are happy with excellent workmanship of carpentry. The laminate, joints are clean cut and aligned perfectly while the curvatures of the carpentry are very smooth. Shout out to carpentry team too. Mandy also advised on the lighting options, colour schemes for laminate to blend with the design. She also introduced good electrician who has well executed the jobs. JS Carpentry and my assigned project coordinator Caroline Huang have been superb in the renovation of my home. The speed far surpassed my expectations with everything completed well within the tight deadline given. The workmanship, especially carpentry, is also top notch. After providing the design ideas, reference photos and floor plan at the first meeting, Caroline quickly followed up with a quotation exactly per what I wanted. In the first meet up after confirming JS Carpentry, she has already put my descriptions into drawings that were so accurate we could immediately start selecting laminates. Working with Caroline has been immensely pleasant. She has an eye for details and an innate sense of good design. Although soft-spoken, Caroline is very authoritative. She provides professional inputs decisively with the clear aim of ensuring the design looks good and is also functional. I observed her working well with the carpenters, plumbers etc. who all respect her views and follow her directives. She quietly takes note of everything I asked for and ensure they are done, even if some are scheduled for weeks later on the renovation timeline. During the renovation, the contractors were able to identify issues in my very old resale condo and promptly reported them to me. This allowed us to rectify them early, which prevented major headaches in future.

The carpenters of JS Carpentry take pride in their work as evidenced by the superb workmanship. A team of carpenters was sent to do final touch ups after the cleaning to ensure every door opened smoothly and every crack was covered. One of them took nearly a whole morning painting every joint line on every tube of the fluted panel so it would look uniform. In the last few weeks of renovation and the month after my move, Caroline got defects (which were minor) rectified quickly. She is always a WhatsApp message away and would arrange to fix the issue within the next 2-3 days. The contractors who came not only corrected the defects I pointed out, but took the time to comb through the house rectifying others I didn’t even notice before. I highly recommend JS Carpentry and especially Caroline Huang for anyone’s home renovation projects. She did a wonderful job providing design ideas and coordinating their contractors as well as others I engaged for separate works such that everything progressed quickly and smoothly. Friends I’ve told my renovation experience to told me I’m “super lucky” to have gotten such a great contractor!

Overall happy with the work with JS Carpentry. Jim was the project coordinator I worked with, with support from Alvin. The team was able to rush for the completion of the renovation within 5 weeks, and was able to accommodate to minor touch up the earliest they could. The contractors they worked with, be it electrician, carpentry lamination, were all professional and provide high quality work. There’s definitely unexpected changes during the renovation, the team could still quickly address the issues and responded to my concerns. Would like to particularly highlight that they are highly flexible about the work items and not rigid about sticking to original quotation.
I would recommend homeowners that have certain good ideas about what to do with your house, and like to work with a team of contractors that offer good quality work.

If you are looking for good quality carpentry work with reasonable price, do not look further – you can engage Carpenter Werkz with confident. Susan is the person in-charge who will take care all your concern from pricing, design, detailing and execution. It is all in good hands. It is a direct local carpenter located in Mandai Link, and thus you can visit them to see on their workmanship directly. You can get cheap quote for the work but you are gambling with the workmanship and the end products. Definitely you are not also looking for the good and expensive quote for the job.
I can tell you honestly, my carpentry work with Carpenter Werkz is not the cheapest quote among 8 quotes i received, but it is a reasonable and in the average range. After visiting their workshop and consultation with Susan, I knew i can trust this company. Fully satisficed with the work for my L-shape wardrobe, bay window converted to the study table, TV feature walls, full height cabinet and shoe rack inside the DB. She is very experienced and delegated person.
