It makes me feel like I’m back in Osaka or Tokyo. I truly love the quiet Japanese high-quality restaurants like Sushi Kimura. The medium setting is a lot of food already; I cannot eat more than that and enjoy it. The large menu would be too much for me!

Andrew Goh

One of the best sushi restaurants! Experiences a special kind of Omakase treatment for the chatty chef stand in front of you to prepare the best of the season. Great food, creative mix, and lots to eat. Sake choices are plenty, but the price is not so low but worth trying once. I love it and an enjoyable dinner.

Excellent food and first-class service. Best place to come if you love truffles and uni. Pick the $400 set if you really love uni. Sushi rice dipped in brown vinegar. Expensive but worth giving a try. Highly recommended! Great location. Ample parking.

I enjoyed the seasonal dinner menu, and it was just delightful. The food was fresh, delicious, and left everyone wanting more. The private room is quiet and allows you to have a complete omakase experience.

Undoubtedly, this is the best Omakase meal I ever had in Singapore. For its hefty price tag, we sure got our money with its fresh sashimi and sushi. Every dish was on point, even down to the plating. If you want to impress a date, this is the place to be.

Charmaine Wong

It remains the best sushi in Singapore in my books. As you savor each course, you’ll forget about the hole it’s burning through your wallet.

4. Fat Cow

Fat Cow’s classy restaurant is popularly known for serving the finest Wagyu from esteemed farms worldwide. The name will probably catch your attention, in which “Fat” represents indulgence and luxury, and a play on that word means “prosperity” in Cantonese. The kitchen is lead by Chef Shigeru Kasajima, who pulled out French cuisine and made French influences in Japanese cuisine to create tasteful dishes. When you go to this restaurant, you can often see him at the intimate omakase dining room.

Besides the superb selection of Japanese wagyu beef, Fat Cow serves nigiri sushi on a bamboo leaf and pickled chrysanthemum instead of the traditional ginger. The chef crafts lunch and dinner omakase menus that pay honor to the Japanese techniques. If you are a true-blue beef lover, go for the nine-course wagyu omakase in this restaurant.

I went for the Nagoyaka Omanese dinner. It was an amazing life experience. I have been to many restaurants in Europe and Singapore, and this was something else. The experience was superior to the best 3-Michelin star restaurant in the UK. Very high-quality ingredients, good presentation, and perfect service. Some dishes were so tasty that I didn’t want to drink anything to keep the flavor longer in my mouth!

Jane Tan

OMG, FAT COW. I was full for days after having the Omakase set. Course after course kept arriving on my table. I was on the verge of exploding. But I kept it in. It was all too good. I couldn’t let it go to waste. The restaurant surprised me with a birthday cake at the end of the meal.

One of my favorite sushi-ya in Singapore. The chef is always friendly, and that makes for great service. Every time I come back, there’s something different, so even though they do classic edomae sushi, it’s fresh and interesting all the time. The price point is reasonable for the quality and quantity, with varying sushi menus ranging from $100 to  $450.

Catherine Oh

This is one of my best Japanese restaurants in Singapore. However, the price is not low, but you get the best quality and service. Always expect a great experience with great sushi, especially the rice served warm. Expensive for dinner, but the set lunch is precious for money.
