Tasty and succulent fresh pork tonkatsu. free flow tea and salad. service can be improved though as difficult to get server attention. maybe because it was a busy night i dk.

The tonkatsu is great! We had the prawn and pork loin which were both enjoyable. Amazing service that is highly attentive, always checking if we need more tea, salad or soup (refills are free). There is dessert too, in the form of jelly. Something that tastes like pear to me. A nice way to end the meal! Only quibble is the sesame seed grinder is kinda messy to deal with – would prefer the seeds served on a grinding plate. Still, overall a great meal with amazing people. Thank you.

Amanda
I had the pleasure of chatting with Chef Kervin and Ms. Candra and was thoroughly impressed by their warm hospitality and down-to-earth nature. The food was truly exceptional—I fell in love with the tender, pinkish pork tenderloin (Hire), while my friend couldn’t stop raving about the recommended Wagyu. We’re already looking forward to our next visit and have even made reservations for next week to share the experience with our other friends. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately I forgot to take photos. The food was excellent. I had the tako wasabi, some aburi salmon on tofu and the fattier cut of pork tonkatsu. Highly recommend the tako wasabi. The pork is beautifully fried. It’s not oily. I will definitely be interested in trying the leaner cut. The tonkatsu sauce is also very tasty! The set is served with some yellow picked raddish and miso soup.

Tried this a while back when it was still at katong and had thought the food was so so. However gave this place another try when it moved to tanjong katong and can honestly say that it has gotten so good. Officially best katsu in Singapore the hire katsu although a fillet cut still remained super tender and juicy. Although on the pricier side would still say the quality of the food was worth it. Will definitely go back to try their off menu items.

We were greeted with bowls of sesame seeds for us to be grindin. The pork loin tonkotsu was crispy and tender! It was thick and juicy 😝 the tonkotsu sauce is the generic ones easily found in supermarkets. Tangy yet savoury.

Lea L
There weren’t many customers in the restaurant when I arrived. We had to order through the waiter when their QR code system indicated that they were closed. The tonkatsu was served first, followed by the ramen. Tea/Water is complimentary. The rice for the tonkatsu is refillable as well. If you don’t like ramen broth with strong porky taste, the broth used is very light in flavour. The products are fairly priced.

Eugene Sito
We’ve been coming back here regularly for their tonkatsu. Friendly service and generous portions for the price!
