Nothing heals a rough work week quite like carbs, cheese, and a long overdue yap session with the girls. 1. Fortuna – Italian Pizza & Pasta Restaurant

Fortuna Pizza Place Singapore

Fortuna feels like the sort of place your girl squad accidentally spends four hours in because the vibes are just that immaculate. Inspired by the warmth and lively chaos of Southern Italy, the restaurant brings together Sicilian soul and Neapolitan flair in a way that feels equal parts comforting and exciting. From the moment the pizzas land on the table, it’s giving “girls’ trip to Italy” energy without needing to leave Singapore.

Their signature 50-hour fermented dough is the real star here, creating pizzas that are crisp, airy, and surprisingly light despite how indulgent they look. The fried-and-baked style deserves extra attention too — the crust comes out beautifully crunchy while still staying fluffy inside, which honestly makes every bite dangerously addictive. Beyond pizza, the handmade pastas are equally swoon-worthy, featuring contemporary twists that feel creative without trying too hard. If your squad loves aesthetic food moments but also takes flavour very seriously, Fortuna easily earns a spot among the top destinations for indulgent Italian comfort food nights.

Pizza is so well executed, nicely charred with fresh and tasty topping. All 3 pizzas are wonderful. Calamari is a must order. We ended up ordering a second portion. Mafalde pasta dish, cheese, beef, sauce is a simple combination with the presentation elevated through searing and mixing the sauce. Tambourine birthday celebration adds to the atmosphere. Restaurant is neatly lay out, bright and cheerful tone. Our reservation on a Saturday 1.30pm for lunch worked out brilliantly.

Located just 5mins walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT. Indoor sitting is quite squeezy so we opt for outdoor sitting which we did not regret at all. Honestly me and my husband prefer the atmosphere outdoor more as indoor is too loud (for us). Staff Aira is very attentive to us even though we were seated outdoor. They constantly checked on us to ensure our needs are met. Food was delicious. Requested for a birthday celebration and they prepare a song with trampoline hahah. Great service!

Sherlyn Ong
Very attentive staff, always ready to serve you. Food was very good, ordered the eggplant main. Portion was reasonable and taste was fantastic! Kit served us…excellent customer service. Went the extra mile to help us move our seats from outdoor to indoor. She takes the effort to ensure we are well attended to. Will definitely come back again to try other food

2. Pizzeria Vincenzo Capuano

Pizzeria Vincenzo Capuano Pizza Singapore

If your girls are the type to obsess over food TikTok recommendations and save every Italy travel reel they see, Pizzeria Vincenzo Capuano will absolutely be their thing. Founded by world pizza champion Vincenzo Capuano himself, this spot specialises in contemporary Neapolitan pizzas that are dramatic in the best way possible — pillowy crusts, airy centres, and ingredients that taste ridiculously fresh. Honestly, the pizzas here are low-key serving luxury.

The dough undergoes up to 30 hours of fermentation using premium Caputo Nuvola Super Flour, resulting in a texture that feels cloud-like without becoming heavy. Even the cutting process is extra here, with golden scissors used instead of pizza wheels to preserve the crust’s airy structure. It’s the kind of detail your foodie friend will absolutely yap about over dinner. Their use of San Marzano tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, and imported Italian toppings also makes every slice feel incredibly authentic. For anyone searching for elevated yet approachable pizza in Singapore, this is one of those places that genuinely lives up to the hype without feeling pretentious about it.

Saw ‘award winning pizzeria’ mentioned at their outlet and I had to check. Undoubtedly the best pizza I have ever had in my life. Half and half marinara and margherita -Marita and tiramisu, both surpassed my expectations. Mr. Harpreet took amazing care of us, explained everything about the menu and also made great suggestions. Happy to know the restaurant plans to expand to my city Bengaluru soon. ❤️

Come here for the experience! We came here on a whim for lunch, and it was a pretty great experience! The pizza was very filling for 2 ladies, so don’t over order if you aren’t big eaters. The dough was abit chewy in my opinion, but the ingredients were fresh. What was outstanding was the service. The staff were very attentive and even asked if we wanted to try to cut the pizza ourselves (we asked him to cut for us, as we knew we will do a horrible job of it!) We loved that we could see the oven so close to us, and enjoyed watching the great food coming out. Will definitely return with a bigger group so that we can order more.

Loved the food here! What a gem this place is. Food was absolutely amazing, loved the burratta with that cold thing on it, the pizza was to die for, and the tiramisu blob was fantastic. the pizza bread…perfect! Drex (the manager) and his team were efficient and attentive. Such a wonderful place to celebrate the hubby’s birthday. It was so good we wanted to go back for dinner the very same day (but didn’t have a reservation). Make sure to make reservations early!

4. d.o.c Italian Restaurant

d.o.c Best Pizza Place In Singapore

There’s something about d.o.c that feels timeless in the best way, and it’s the restaurant you go with when the girls want proper comfort food, good wine, and a relaxed atmosphere where nobody’s pretending to be too cool to order carbs. The menu leans heavily into authentic Italian traditions, with handmade pizzas and pastas crafted using techniques that prioritise flavour over gimmicks.

Their Neapolitan pizzas are cooked at extremely high temperatures in imported ovens, allowing the crusts to develop that iconic balance between chewiness and char. The dough itself is proofed for up to 20 hours, giving it a slightly tangy complexity that makes the pizzas feel especially satisfying. Another standout detail is the use of Applewood during cooking, which subtly infuses the pizzas with a lightly sweet and smoky aroma. It’s the kind of detail you don’t immediately notice at first bite, but halfway through dinner someone will definitely pause and go, “Okay wait… why is this crust sooo good?” Between the comforting flavours and welcoming atmosphere, d.o.c makes girls’ night dinners feel effortlessly easy.

Conor Walsh
I’ve been to Da Michele twice in the past six months and it ranks as some of the best pizza I’ve had in Singapore (or anywhere). The attention to detail in the preparation manifests perfectly in the lightness of the dough, the juiciness of the tomato sauce and perfect proportions of cheese and toppings contributing to awesome flavour and culinary pleasure. Additionally, paired with a fabulous of primitivo, the experience was top notch. The staff are excellent and courteous and the restaurant vibe is perfectly reflective of the buzz of central Singapore.

Sebastiaan Langezaal
Amazing restaurant. Yes there are cheaper option when visiting Singapore, but man o man. This place is amazing and worth every penny. From the nice atmosphere to the friendly staff and terrific pizzas. Definitely check this Michelin awarded restaurant out.

6. Gusta Sourdough Pizza Co.

Gusta Sourdough Pizza Co Singapore

Tucked away near Serangoon’s bustling NEX area, Gusta Sourdough Pizza Co. has the kind of cosy, low-key charm that makes it feel like a hidden gem that your foodie friend gatekeeps until she finally decides to “put the girls on”. The industrial-chic space is intimate without feeling cramped, making it perfect for those relaxed catch-ups where the dress code is cute outfits and zero stress. If your squad appreciates artisanal food moments, Gusta absolutely delivers.

What makes their pizzas stand out is the naturally fermented sourdough base, which goes through a slow 72-hour fermentation process using a proprietary blend of Japanese flours. The result is a crust that’s airy, chewy, crisp, and honestly super satisfying to bite into. Their Neo-Napolitano style also gives the pizzas a softer white crust reminiscent of fluffy Japanese bread, making them feel lighter than expected. Flavour-wise, the menu has something for every type of girlie. The Mushroom & Truffle Oil pizza is a safe but elite choice for truffle lovers, while the Calabrese Salami brings smoky spice energy to the table. Feeling adventurous? The Mala Chicken pizza somehow works ridiculously well and feels chaotic in the best way possible.

Customer Reviews:

Axel
Beautifully blistered crust, Napoletana-style. That bit of char just makes all the difference to every bite, balancing out the sourdough tang of the pie with a slightly bitter counterpoint. And each pizza came well loaded, leading to satisfied tums by the end of the meal. With the pastas starting in the sub-20s & a good range of classic & “modern”pizzas in the 20s, we felt this was great value & have already returned for round two. The HDB location only added to the charm for us too, but go early to avoid a lengthy wait.

Quality pizza and Italian pasta in the neighbourhood. Food are simply great. Self service ordering QR code. Friendly staffs. I personally liked the pizza dough here more compared to PST. Highly recommended.

Cicheti ranks among the league of restaurants that effortlessly nails the whole rustic-chic aesthetic without trying too hard. Located along Kandahar Street, this trattoria blends old-world Italian warmth with sleek modern interiors, creating a space that feels equally suitable for date nights, birthdays, or spontaneous “girls, we deserve a treat” dinners. The atmosphere strikes a lovely balance between lively and intimate, which honestly makes yapping over wine way too easy here.

Their wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas are the clear stars of the menu, arriving with beautifully blistered crusts that stay chewy in the centre while crisp around the edges. There’s a subtle smokiness running through each bite that makes the pizzas especially addictive. The Bismarck pizza remains one of the crowd favourites for good reason, thanks to its rich toppings and excellent crust ratio, while the off-menu Bella Napoli is basically the definition of “trust me, just order it”. Wei cong Law
pan-fried potato gnocchi with mushrooms and cheese was superb. The pizzas tasted authentic too. Wonderful dining experience.

Yu
The entire experience was so good!! Best pizza I’ve eaten that’s chewy in the middle and crispy on the outside with a nice smoky flavour. Sea bass was tender and sweet (it was cooked crusted in salt I think). Stew was good, seafood was really fresh. Cannoli was the bomb!! The crisp, pistachio cream, and little pistachio nuts tied the dessert together. Overate a little but it was well worth it.

Avis Peng
When back again. I love their pizza, we ordered Bismarck. It is not the normal crispy crest dough, the dough is soft and tasty. One of the best pizza i had in Singapore. The Burratina is fresh and good. When to many Italian restaurant, this is one of the best. Vongole pasta, they use very fresh clams. Better to book in advance. Seat indoor, out is a bit hot for Singapore weather. At this time, the street outside is quite happening.

8. LINO

LINO Pizza Place Singapore

LINO feels like the effortlessly stylish friend who somehow always knows the best dinner spots before everyone else does. The restaurant keeps things relaxed and welcoming while still maintaining an elegant atmosphere, making it especially good for those semi-fancy girls’ nights where everyone actually commits to dressing up a little. Between the indoor and al fresco seating, it’s easy to settle in for a long evening of carbs, cocktails, and catching up properly.

The restaurant’s philosophy revolves around allowing flavours to develop naturally, much like the traditional linen-covered dough fermentation process that inspired its name. That attention to detail really shows in the food. Their handmade pizzas strike a comforting balance between rustic and refined, with the Pancetta pizza standing out as an especially indulgent pick. Loaded with smoked bacon, duck fat potatoes, parmesan, pesto, and a gloriously runny egg yolk, it’s rich in the best possible way and practically demands sharing. The flavours come in bold and unapologetic, yet everything still feels balanced rather than overwhelming. Of course, ending dinner with the Bomboloni is non-negotiable. Those stuffed doughnuts are dangerously addictive and fully capable of turning your polite “just one bite” into a full dessert custody battle among the girls.

Prices:

  • Pancetta: $30
  • Salame Piccante: $28
  • Burrata: $30
  • Prosciutto: $30
  • Margherita: $26

Highlights:

  • Relaxed yet elegant Italian dining atmosphere
  • Handmade pizzas inspired by traditional fermentation methods
  • Signature Pancetta pizza with duck fat potatoes and egg yolk
  • Bomboloni doughnuts stuffed with hazelnut crème and feuilletine

Order the pancetta pizza! You’ll understand when you eat it

Yulong Wang
Great dinning experience. The burrata pizza was very delicious, crunchy crust and not salty like other pizz. Truffle fries was rich in flavour, grilled pork was juicy and smokey, the calamari was perfect. Definitely coming back again.

Elaine Low
Had a wonderful pizza lunch here. Every ingredient is so fresh and tasty. It’s a 1 for 1 pizza special. My 80s year old parents who do not like cheese, enjoyed the pizza. The seafood and pancetta were their favourite. They are planning to go back again!

TheGirlCo’s Recommendation

Choosing the perfect pizza place really depends on the kind of girls’ night you’re planning. Some spots are ideal for laid-back catch-ups over comfort food, while others are made for foodie squads who treat dinner like a full-blown event. Here are our top picks depending on your group’s vibe for the night.

1. If your squad wants the most authentic Neapolitan pizza experience:

Our pick: L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele

If your girls are serious about authentic Italian food and love trying globally recognised spots, this is the one to book. The fact that the restaurant traces its roots all the way back to Naples in 1870 already makes the experience feel extra special. Their pizzas focus on simplicity, balance, and traditional techniques rather than overloading toppings, which really lets the quality of the dough and ingredients shine through. It’s classy without being intimidating, making it perfect for elevated but comfortable girls’ dinners.

2. If you want a cosy, intimate spot for long catch-up sessions:

Our pick: La Bottega Enoteca

La Bottega Enoteca feels incredibly warm and personal, almost like dining in someone’s beautifully designed Italian home. This is the spot for girl squads who love sharing dishes, sipping wine slowly, and talking for hours without feeling rushed. Their multiple pizza styles also make the meal feel more interactive since everyone can compare textures and flavours together. Between the handcrafted food and welcoming atmosphere, it’s the kind of place that naturally turns a simple dinner into a core memory.

3. If your girls love trendy, experimental flavours:

Our pick: Gusta Sourdough Pizza Co.

Gusta is perfect for adventurous foodies who are always looking for something slightly different from the usual pizza experience. The sourdough crust alone already stands out with its airy Japanese-inspired texture, but the unconventional flavours like Mala Chicken really make the menu memorable. It feels modern, playful, and just a little quirky — ideal for groups that love discovering underrated gems before everyone else catches on.

Conclusion

At the end of the day, pizza parties are rarely just about the food. They’re about finally syncing schedules after weeks of “we should catch up soon”, gossiping over cocktails, hyping each other up in the bathroom mirror, and splitting one too many desserts because nobody can resist. Thankfully, Singapore’s pizza scene makes these moments extra memorable with restaurants that offer far more than just good crusts and cheese.

No matter if your ideal night looks like elegant wine-and-pizza dinners, cosy low-key catch-ups, or chaotic group feasts with endless cheese pulls for the camera, these spots prove that pizza nights never go out of style. And if this guide leaves you craving even more comforting Italian food experiences, be sure to explore some of the best Italian restaurants in Singapore for your next girls’ dinner adventure too.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. How much should I expect to pay for a decent pizza in Singapore, and are there ways to avoid paying too much?

For a standard mass-market delivery pizza, baseline prices typically range from $25 to $35 for a large size, though frequent 1-for-1 deals or online promotional codes can drop this cost significantly. If you are dining at an artisanal or gourmet boutique pizzeria, a single-serving pizza usually costs between $28 and $45. To get better value, look out for weekday lunch sets, credit card collaborations, or opt for takeaway to bypass the standard 10% service charge, though you will still be subject to the 9% Goods and Services Tax (GST) at most established joints.

2. Are there plenty of halal-certified pizza options available in Singapore, and how can I verify them?

Yes, Singapore offers extensive halal pizza options. The largest mass-market delivery chains operating across the island are fully certified by the Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS). For mid-tier and boutique pizzerias, many operate under a strict “no pork, no lard” policy, but they may lack official MUIS halal certification because alcohol is served on the premises. To be absolutely certain, always look for the official green MUIS halal certificate displayed near the cashier counter or verify the restaurant’s status directly via the MUIS official website before ordering.

3. What is the difference between Italian-style and American-style pizzas commonly found in local restaurants?

Italian pizzerias in Singapore focus heavily on minimalist toppings, using fresh ingredients like buffalo mozzarella, extra virgin olive oil, and a light tomato base on a thin, hand-stretched crust that is baked rapidly in a high-heat oven. Conversely, American-style pizzas, which dominate the local mass-market delivery sector, feature a much thicker, bready, or pan-fried crust. They are heavily layered with processed cheeses and a wider variety of rich toppings like pepperoni, minced beef, or barbecue chicken, and are structurally designed to hold up well during long delivery transits.

4. Why do so many Singaporean pizza places feature unorthodox toppings like durian, salted egg, or laksa?

Localisation is a powerful culinary strategy used by both large delivery chains and indie bistros to appeal directly to the unique Singaporean palate. Singaporeans highly appreciate bold, complex flavour profiles that combine sweet, savoury, and spicy notes. Seasonal novelty pizzas—such as those featuring Mao Shan Wang durian or spicy sambal—generate massive social media buzz, driving short-term foot traffic and offering a comforting, local twist on an otherwise Western staple.

5. What standard pizza sizes are sold in Singapore, and how many people do they actually feed?

Pizza sizes across local eateries are almost universally measured in inches. A personal pizza is typically 6 to 7 inches and is intended for one person. A regular or medium pizza spans 9 to 10 inches and comfortably feeds two moderately hungry adults. A large pizza ranges from 12 to 14 inches, yielding about 8 slices, which is ideal for a group of three to four people. If ordering from gourmet Italian joints, pizzas are typically served in a standard 12-inch size meant to be eaten individually or shared between two people alongside sides.

6. Is it better to dine in or order pizza delivery in Singapore given the humid climate?

If you have ordered an artisanal, thin-crust, or wood-fired Neapolitan pizza, dining in is vastly superior. Singapore’s high humidity causes steam to trap inside cardboard delivery boxes, quickly turning a crisp, blistered crust soggy and rubbery within fifteen minutes of travel time. However, thick-crust American pan pizzas or stuffed-crust options are specifically formulated with denser doughs that retain heat and moisture better, making them perfectly suited for island-wide home delivery.

7. How can I identify a truly authentic wood-fired pizza restaurant in Singapore?

Look closely at the kitchen setup and the final product. An authentic wood-fired pizzeria will prominently feature a massive brick or stone dome oven fueled by actual hardwood logs, rather than gas jets. The resulting pizza will cook in under two minutes at temperatures exceeding 400 degrees Celsius, yielding a crust with “leopard spotting”—distinct charred black bubbles on the dough. The centre of the pizza should be soft, moist, and slightly floppy, rather than stiff, crunchy, and perfectly uniform.

8. Are vegetarian and vegan pizza options widely available, and what can I expect?

Vegetarian options like the classic Margherita, four-cheese, or Mediterranean vegetable pizzas are absolute staples at almost every pizzeria in Singapore. For strict vegans, availability depends on the tier of the restaurant. High-end artisanal spots frequently offer authentic marinara pizzas (which are naturally cheese-free) or provide premium plant-based dairy substitutes. Many mainstream delivery platforms also allow you to fully customise orders by removing cheese entirely or swapping traditional meats for soy-based alternatives.

9. Why do dine-in pizza bills often look significantly higher than the menu prices?

Dine-in menu prices in Singapore are usually exclusive of service fees and government taxes unless explicitly stated as “nett”. When the final bill arrives, it will include an additional 10% service charge for dine-in hospitality, followed by the mandatory 9% GST calculated on the combined total. This compounding effect, colloquially known as “plus-plus” (++), adds nearly 20% to your baseline menu cost, whereas delivery or takeaway orders generally exclude the 10% service charge.

10. Can I find sourdough pizza crusts in Singapore, and what makes them different?

Sourdough pizza crusts have exploded in popularity across independent Singaporean pizzerias. Unlike standard pizza dough that uses commercial yeast and rises in a few hours, sourdough undergoes a slow fermentation process lasting 48 to 72 hours using wild yeast cultures. This breaks down complex starches, resulting in a crust that is distinctly tangy in flavour, beautifully airy and chewy in texture, and significantly easier on the digestive system for those prone to bloating.
