Nice, ambient restaurant with a quieter, relaxed presence. Staff were genuinely wonderful and very friendly. We shared pasta and mains, and the chefs were happy to plate everything accordingly, which was appreciated. Standouts were the lamb ragù with fettuccine and the tiramisu. Would happily return.

A little gem with nice ambience and attentive staff. We had a whole range of dishes and they were all excellent. Even the vegetables were so nicely plated. The Spanish octopus, the beef and tiramisu counted as our top 3. Some may find the duck ragout slightly on the salty side though. Definitely a place to keep in our list of food places.

We celebrate our anniversary here in Guccio, the food is very good, especially the prawn carpaccio, beef with white truffle and of course the tiramisu 😇. Restaurant also provides a complementary dessert for our anniversary day, Thank you very much . And this give us a wonderful evening

favourite tiramisu flavour is matcha, have been having it when in the area. different layers of matcha and flavours really go well in harmony. also tried the pistachio flavour this time and it was ozzing with coffee from the soaked fingers. better to have it at the store as takeaway in sg weather even 20+ mins home, the cakes become super soft and sad visuals. but taste is still as good.

One of the best tiramisus I’ve ever tasted in Singapore! Found this little cozy shop at the basement of The Central @ Clarke Quay. The price is slightly on the higher side, but you definitely get what you pay for high quality ingredients and excellent taste. Free water is a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. Highly recommended for tiramisu lovers!

Saw 2 threads on Reddit asking about the best tiramisu in Singapore and this was the most upvoted place, so I decided to get one to try today as I was passing by it. The half slab costs $39 and is available only for their original flavour. I found it quite nice tasting and it’s a dessert I would want to try again, as well as the other flavours available. They are in quite a secluded corner of Clark Quay Central though, and it’s in the middle of the food court outside Don Don Donki and the passage way from the mrt.

Tried out a small cup of Bottega tiramisu at this cute place, it was really tasty and well made, a good balance of alcohol and cream for me! Appreciate that there is a simple incentive to return the used bottles as a sustainable option 🙂

Chanced upon it today, and was intrigued by all the different alcohols they used in their tiramisu. The space was really intimate, and the owner was very happy to chat; enjoy the candid conversation I had with her! Love how the flavours switch around everyday, and how she offered to give us samples to try. Tiramisu upper layer was full-bodied and creamy, and overall it was not too sweet – it was a standout from the usual tiramisu that you would find (as the price would also suggest). Would come back!

the cream not sweet at all, a marvellous match to the coffee-dipped fingers. i tried the classic bailey wine tiramisu, and also the yesterday special menu Japanese wine (forgotten the wine name). and yes! i like the second one! bailey: cost $13 after glass returned. japanese wine: $17.5 before glass return.

We ordered a cup of Tiramisu ($5) and a slice of Basque Burnt Cheesecake ($9). The tiramisu portion was small and dainty, but it really packed a punch in terms of flavour — rich coffee notes balanced beautifully with a gentle rum aroma, all held together by smooth, creamy mascarpone. A little cup of pure indulgence! The Basque Burnt Cheesecake was equally impressive — silky smooth with a deep, caramelized flavour that lingered pleasantly. Each bite was decadently rich yet not overwhelming. Both desserts were wonderfully — and sinfully — delicious! Definitely worth every calorie.

The shop passionately introduced me to the “hidden alley” at basement 3, and offered samples of tiramisu and brownie to taste. Both were excellent, but unfortunately, I was unable to enjoy a full portion today. I hope to have the opportunity to dine in, as they have tables available, and also to try their savoury dishes.

A Hidden Gem indeed! Nestled in a cosy burrow, away from the hustle. Their array of desserts in all forms and flavors really teased our palates. Loved the Tiramisu and Pistachio Mizus, not overly sweet and the richness in flavors suited my taste buds. Totally enjoyed my indulgence.❤️❤️

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

This is the most common question. In Singapore, tiramisu is typically served in two ways: “Classic,” which includes alcohol like Marsala wine, Rum, or Kahlúa, and “Alcohol-Free” versions. Many cafes explicitly label their desserts to help customers choose based on their preference for that signature boozy kick or a child-friendly treat.

Due to the traditional use of alcohol and sometimes gelatin, many Singaporeans check for Halal certification. While several dedicated bakeries offer Halal-certified tiramisu, others may offer “Muslim-friendly” versions that use alcohol-free coffee syrups and fish-based or no gelatin at all.

Traditional Italian tiramisu uses raw egg yolks whisked with sugar (Sabayon). Given Singapore’s warm climate and food safety awareness, many local versions use pasteurized eggs or a “cooked” yolk method (heating the yolks over a double boiler) to ensure the dessert is safe for everyone, including pregnant women and the elderly.

Singaporeans often buy tiramisu in tubs for home consumption. Generally, it stays fresh for 2 to 3 days in the chiller. Because it contains dairy (mascarpone) and often eggs, it shouldn’t be left at room temperature for more than 30 to 60 minutes in our humid weather.

The “not too sweet” compliment is the highest praise a dessert can receive in Singapore. Many local pastry chefs adjust the traditional recipe by reducing the sugar in the mascarpone cream and using a more bitter, high-quality espresso soak to balance the richness.

Purists look for Savoiardi (Italian ladyfingers), which provide a distinct texture when soaked. However, some local bakeries use vanilla or chocolate sponge cake to cater to the local preference for a softer, “cake-like” mouthfeel that doesn’t become as mushy as biscuits can.

Singapore’s love for tea has led to the rise of “Tea-ramisu.” Instead of coffee and cocoa, these versions use Matcha, Hojicha, or Earl Grey tea as the soaking liquid and dusting powder. These are particularly popular in Japanese-style cafes across the island.

While you can freeze tiramisu for up to 2 weeks, it is generally discouraged in Singapore because the texture of the mascarpone can become grainy upon thawing. If you do freeze it, it’s best eaten partially frozen—almost like a tiramisu ice cream cake.

In Singapore, you’ll often see two formats. The “cake” version usually contains gelatin or more stabilizers so it can stand upright on a plate. The “tub” or “bowl” version is typically more traditional, softer, and creamier because it doesn’t need to hold its shape.

For the home bakers, the go-to question is where to find the specific ingredients. Specialty baking supply stores (like Phoon Huat or RedMan) and premium supermarkets are the standard recommendations for sourcing authentic Italian mascarpone and ladyfingers.
