Les Amis is the kind of restaurant that doesn’t chase trends; it defines standards. Founded in 1994 as Singapore’s first independent fine dining restaurant, this three-Michelin-starred institution carries herself with the confidence of legacy and the refinement of Parisian haute cuisine. Inspired by the founders’ deep love for French culture and gastronomy, Les Amis delivers an experience that is polished yet deeply personal.
Under Chef Sébastien Lepinoy, every dish showcases meticulous technique and the finest seasonal ingredients sourced primarily from France. What elevates the experience, especially for women who appreciate nuance, is the storytelling — from in-house masters sharing intimate details about provenance to wine pairings that feel almost conversational. Dining here feels like being invited into an elegant French salon, where every detail has been considered, especially for those who value grace, knowledge, and timeless luxury.

We made a wonderful evening at the Michelin three-starred and award-winning Les Amis restaurant during our trip for the F1 spectacular in Singapore. Helmed by Chef Sebastien Lepinoy , the French haute restaurant is convivial with attentive service as anticipated. The four-courses menu was satiating with generous seafood options. The blue lobster as a starter, was hefty but appetite-whetting, while the scallop and slow-cooked salmon was very skillfully-treated with juicy and tender texture! The desserts and pastries were all heart-pleasing for a pastry-lover like me. It was a satisfying evening to conclude the Sat evening.

Amazing dining experience — the staff were so attentive, friendly, and patient! Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour — you can really feel the effort behind it. Truly a memorable meal ✨️ Three Michelin stars well deserved. Absolutely love this place!

I had the immense pleasure of dining at Les Amis today. The food was impeccable as expected from a 3-star restaurant. Even more impressive was the service from the staff, especially maître d Manoj and Catherine. Manoj was very knowledgeable and shared with us more about the food, enhancing the experience further. Catherine remembered my wife’s birthday, and took the trouble to get us back for a birthday cake. Thank you for going the extra mile for us!

A little hidden gem inside a museum turned out to be my best culinary experience so far. We had an important business milestone to celebrate, and I cannot imagine a better place to do so. The menu, paired with wines, was simply beyond description for a relative layman like me. Perfectly matched, the wine teased out the finest nuances of the food (or was it the other way around?). On the critical side, the coffee quality could be improved — but that seems to be a common issue in fine dining. Overall, an outstanding experience!

A qualified wine connoisseur will strive to experience every type of wine they can. The service is of three-star standard, and the table is promptly cleared of bread crumbs. Each wine is accompanied by a complete story behind it, which I really appreciate. The most memorable dish was the mustard-flavored ice cream, a soulful combination. The pigeon was also excellently prepared and I think it can perfectly replace duck breast as a main course. The wines selected were quite good. For the final sweet wine, “DONG QU” was chosen and it was quite a pleasant surprise. Seeing the Chinese yellow wine on such a stage made me feel very proud. However, it was a bit too heavy for me. I added a few more glasses of sweet wine, which was still a decent conclusion.
Amy King
This is my 3rd time to Odette, my friend and I have decided to come once more before they close for their upcoming renovation. The staff are always professional and knowledgeable about their wine and menu. The gentleman serving us that evening was engaging and present. The food never disappoints, every dish was executed flawlessly and consistently over the years. I always look forward the feature dish which is the pigeon, to me this dish is an absolute delight!Thank you Chef Royer and team, you have given me 3 wonderful dining experiences in Odette so far, I am looking forward to Odette 2.0.

What an amazing experience! Outstanding food and service! Kif, Kat and Jimmy made for an truly unforgettable evening! We had a place at the kitchen counter which allowed us to sneak at the magic happening behind the counter. Food was delicious and beautifully prepared. Even though we were one of (if not The) slowest eaters of the evening, we were not rushed at all, but given our time to eat, drink and chat. Thank you to the whole team for making it such a memorable experience!
Stephanie Loi-Watson
Very special experience dining here at Willow. Staff are all very attentive and professional. Flavours brought to us were so diverse and special, nothing like we’ve had elsewhere. If you are looking for a special place to dine in Singapore this is the place to go as they introduce local flavours fused with Japanese and French influences. Very talented group of chefs. Thank you for this experience.
Tim Conway
One of the best 1* restaurants we’ve visited — not just in Singapore, but worldwide. Lovely ambience at lunchtime, very friendly, helpful staff (I think we interacted with everyone), and some really excellent dishes that reflect Asia and some European cuisine. Scent, taste and texture are all addressed; most dishes comprise subtle layers of these. Portion sizes are not large but you will be well-sufficed at the end of the meal. The sommelier was very helpful in guiding us on wines to accompany perfectly. Yes, it is expensive but very much worth it, in my opinion. Highly recommended

Fab Foodie Swede Malin Nordblom
The newly upgraded Michelin-starred NAE:UM serves chef Louis version of dishes looking back at his Korean heritage. But it has influences from his global journey too. Even though contemporary in spirit, each dish remains rooted in Korean flavours, ingredients, and personal memories. This was a beautiful adventure. One of my personal favourites were the Korean buckwheat with white kimchi, chives, and perilla oil dressing layered with a cured tobiko sauce and pickled old cucumber, sweet mountain turnip cut into flower-like petals on top of the noodles. With this the most delicious grilled morel mushroom dumpling I ever had stuffed with a rice cake filled ‘ duckgalbi’ (duck meat patty) and glazed with gochujang.
Teck Boon
We had a really amazing time at the Hideaway dining area on the 2nd floor. Minimum spending to book the private dining area is easily matched if you have 8-10 guests. Staff are very welcoming and the chef and his team made the whole evening very lovely. We started dinner closer to 7pm and even at a slow leisurely pace, dinner was over before 10pm. We never felt rushed and everyone was so accommodating. Would definitely be back again.
Theresa Lee
2nd time here since the episode series. This is what draws us in — no ostentatious display of its Michelin star, only the gentle hum of a kitchen devoted to crafting a journey of flavours, each dish a heartfelt story behind the menu, whispering the soul of Chef Han. Service from crew was amazing and attentive. It was lovely to be back!

My husband and I first came to Ibid in May 2019 the night we got married – we’re both vegetarian and loved the food. We still talk about some of the dishes. We’ve since moved overseas but came back to Ibid for another meal Dec 2025 and it was equally as magical. Sander literally licked some of the plates – his favourite was the gula melaka ice cream, mine was the egg custard. We both enjoy sitting at the seats with a view of the kitchen and getting to interact with the staff, it’s so cool to watch the plating of the food. Highly recommended meal, you won’t regret this one.

We picked Restaurant IBID for a milestone birthday and couldn’t be happier with our decision. Everything about the experience was fantastic. The food was sophisticated and delicately prepared. Every bite was delicious, and you could tell how much care went into each dish. The atmosphere is intimate, which made for a really special evening. The service was fun and friendly, never stuffy or pretentious. The Chef took his time to explain the dishes, answer questions, and you could see how meticulous he is about his craft, produce and process. That personal interaction made the night memorable. If you’re looking for outstanding food, genuine hospitality, and a place where the chef actually cares about your experience, Restaurant IBID is it!

One of the best restaurants I have ever been to in the world. Surely worth every one of the accolades it has received. The meal was magnificently well balanced, and to supplement its already great atmosphere is the magestic view of Singapore’s Marina Bay skyline. To top it off were the service staff. Exceptional.
Janet Chin
We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Saint Pierre last July, and it was a truly memorable evening. Being a weekday, the restaurant was quiet with only one other table occupied, and we were lucky to be given a lovely window table with a direct view of Marina Bay Sands — a gesture I really appreciated. The tasting menu was well-paced with standout courses like the Oscietra Caviar with smoked eel and wasabi, Manjimup Marron with buttermilk and oba, the delicate Shizuoka King Crab with green curry, and the bold Omi Beef with sand carrot and mala. Desserts — the Corsica Peach and Tulameen Raspberry — ended the meal on a refreshing note. Special thanks to sommelier Wyman, whose knowledge and thoughtful recommendations made the wine pairings a joy. We also enjoyed our conversations with him, which added warmth and depth to the evening.

Samantha Khoo
We celebrated my fiancé’s birthday here last night, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable dinners we’ve had in Singapore. What truly sets this restaurant apart is its philosophy: vegetables take centre stage, and the proteins are designed to complement them, not the other way around. Every dish was beautiful and showcased how creative and flavourful vegetables can be. Service was warm and attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere made it perfect for a quiet and intimate celebration. Special thanks to Mary-Joy, YS, Kai and of course Chef Laurence! Would definitely recommend.
Tabbycat
We had our 12-pax solemnisation and wedding lunch at JAG, and it honestly couldn’t have been better. Maryjoy and the team were amazing to work with—super friendly, flexible, and happy to accommodate all our requests, from curated menus and wines to blasting our own playlist and having the whole space to ourselves. The restaurant is beautiful and filled with natural light; our photographer barely needed extra lighting and the photos turned out amazing. My only regret is that the day went by way too fast, because everyone was having such a good time!
TongTong Wong
The overall dishes are centered around vegetables. The most memorable one was the flounder with chestnut chocolate sauce. The doneness was just right and the sauce was well balanced in flavor. Personally, I think it was better than the seasoning of the mono. The mashed banana for the main course was superb and it was also very delicious when paired with the bread.

One of the best course menu’s I have tried in Singapore. The staff do a great job explaining each dish and the chef did an amazing job with all the ingredients and favours. The presentation of each dish was also amazing. It was also nice to see the head chef come out and greet each table. I definitely understand why this place received a Michelin.
Damien Marie
This was an incredible birthday meal for my wife! We’re are actually debating treating my sister-in-law for her birthday! The dishes were perfect, had a hint of playfulness, and tasted delicious. I’m a sucker for bread and their dark rye sourdough and butter was out of this world! The waiting staff was very considerate, kind, and really lovely. Thanks for this experience!
Chih Chan
Easily one of the finest dining experiences I have ever had! The atmosphere is very welcoming, with awesome views of Singapore’s skyline (70 floors high) which makes you feel you are literally on cloud nine! The service is first-class and the vibe is classy but unpretentious (unlike many other Michelin-starred venues). The tasting menu varies by season, and what I had was refined, delicate, and prepared with a lot of attention to details. The portions are served to highlight the nuanced subtleties of the ingredients, and you get to actually taste the individual ingredients, and appreciate how they contribute to the synergies of the greater whole (which can be quite surprising). I had a complimentary dish, courtesy of the chef, plus extra amuse-bouche not in the tasting menu.

TheGirlCo’s Recommendation
Because the “best” Michelin restaurant isn’t universal; it depends on who you’re dining with, why you’re celebrating, and how you want the night to feel.
1. For a once-in-a-lifetime celebration where everything must feel flawless
Our pick: Les Amis
Choose Les Amis when the occasion truly matters—a milestone birthday, major career win, or a celebration where you want zero compromises. This is the restaurant for women who appreciate formality done beautifully: impeccable pacing, confident service, and dishes that feel timeless rather than trendy. If you love dressing up, savouring a long evening, and indulging in world-class wine with thoughtful explanations, Les Amis delivers an experience that feels ceremonious, polished, and deeply rewarding.
2. For a quietly romantic or emotionally meaningful evening
Our pick: Odette
Odette is for moments that call for softness rather than spectacle. If you’re celebrating an anniversary, reconnecting with a partner, or sharing a meaningful conversation with someone close, this is where you go. The atmosphere is calm, luminous, and never intimidating, while the food speaks gently but confidently. Ideal for women who value emotional resonance, refined aesthetics, and a dining experience that feels intimate, composed, and deeply personal.
3. For a reflective, story-driven meal that feels personal and intentional
Our pick: NAE:UM
NAE:UM is best suited for diners who love meaning behind the menu. If you’re drawn to nostalgia, memory, and thoughtful storytelling, or planning a celebration that feels private and heartfelt, this restaurant stands out. The dishes invite conversation, reflection, and connection, making it ideal for close friends, partners, or small gatherings where you want the meal to feel emotionally layered rather than performative. The HIDEAWAY option is especially appealing for women who value discretion and intimacy.
4. For a light, elegant meal that feels indulgent yet mindful
Our pick: Restaurant JAG
Restaurant JAG is perfect for women who love luxury but don’t want heaviness in flavour, portion size, or atmosphere. If you appreciate vegetables, seasonal produce, and a dining experience that leaves you feeling nourished rather than overwhelmed, this is a standout choice. It’s especially well-suited for daytime celebrations, wellness-minded diners, or elegant occasions where you want refinement without excess.
Final Thoughts
Singapore’s Michelin dining scene is wonderfully diverse, offering experiences that cater not just to refined palates, but to emotional connection, personal values, and different expressions of femininity. Whether you’re drawn to classic French elegance, vegetable-forward innovation, or memory-laced Korean cuisine, these restaurants prove that fine dining can be both powerful and personal.
Of course, not every dining mood calls for tasting menus and white tablecloths. If your next indulgence leans more towards abundance and indulgent comfort, why not explore our guide to the best lobster buffets in Singapore — perfect for when you want decadence served generously and joyfully.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. What is the difference between a Michelin Star and a Bib Gourmand?
While both are prestigious, they serve different purposes. A Michelin Star is awarded to restaurants offering the highest quality of cooking based on five specific criteria. A Bib Gourmand, on the other hand, is not a star but a “value-for-money” award.
It highlights establishments that serve high-quality, three-course meals (or equivalent) for less than a certain price cap—locally, this usually targets meals under $45 or $50.
2. How much does a Michelin-starred meal usually cost in Singapore?
The price varies significantly depending on the category.
Two and Three-Star Establishments: These are almost exclusively fine-dining venues where dinner can range from $300 to over $600 per person, excluding alcohol, service charge, and GST.
- One-Star Hawkers: You can still find one-starred street food for under $10.
- One-Star Restaurants: Lunch sets typically range from $80 to $150, while dinner tasting menus often exceed $200.
3. Can a hawker stall really get a Michelin Star?
Yes. Singapore was one of the first locations globally where the Michelin Guide awarded stars to street food vendors.
To qualify, a hawker stall must meet the same five criteria as a luxury restaurant. Currently, the city-state maintains a small number of hawker stalls with one-star ratings, though many more are recognised under the Bib Gourmand or “Selected” categories.
4. How are these restaurants actually judged?
Inspectors are full-time Michelin employees who dine anonymously and pay for their own meals. They judge based on these five criteria:
- Quality of the ingredients used.
- Mastery of flavor and cooking techniques.
- The personality of the chef in their cuisine.
- Value for money (relative to the experience).
- Consistency between visits and across the entire menu.
5. Does the service or “vibe” affect the Star rating?
Surprisingly, no. Michelin Stars are awarded solely for the food on the plate. A restaurant with plastic chairs and basic service can theoretically earn the same star as a palace with gold-plated cutlery.
However, the guide uses a separate “Fork and Spoon” symbol (Cover) to rate the comfort, decor, and service level of an establishment.
6. When is the Michelin Guide Singapore updated?
The guide is updated annually, typically during a gala ceremony held in the middle of the year (often June or July). During this event, new stars are announced, and some establishments may unfortunately lose their stars if their standards have slipped or if the restaurant has closed or moved.
7. How far in advance do I need to book?
For the top-tier two and three-starred restaurants, booking one to three months in advance is standard, especially for weekend slots. For one-starred restaurants, two weeks is often sufficient.
However, for the starred hawker stalls, you cannot book; instead, expect to queue anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours.
8. What is a Michelin “Green Star”?
The Green Star is a newer distinction introduced to Singapore’s guide. It recognizes restaurants that are at the forefront of the industry regarding sustainable practices.
This includes ethical sourcing of ingredients, waste reduction, and promoting local biodiversity. It can be held alongside a regular Michelin Star or a Bib Gourmand award.
9. What happens if a Michelin-starred chef leaves the restaurant?
The star is awarded to the restaurant, not the chef. If a head chef leaves, the restaurant keeps the star until the next inspection.
If the new culinary team maintains the same standard of consistency and quality, the star remains. If the quality drops, the star may be removed in the following year’s guide.
10. What does it mean if a restaurant is “Michelin Selected”?
The “Selected” category (formerly known as the Michelin Plate) acts as a recommendation. It means the inspectors have found the food to be above average and worthy of a mention, but it hasn’t quite reached the level of a Bib Gourmand or a Star. It is often seen as a “waiting room” for future star contenders.
