Love this place!! 10/10 recommend and would come again. From the moment you walk in you can feel the friendly vibe!! Staffs are so welcoming as well. Everything is very clean and new including the spin bikes! And of course the best part, the instructors are so fun, i had the time of my life on the bike challenging myself and walking out feeling like i achieved something for the day. The instructors are very encouraging and rest assure you will be in good hands no matter whose classes you attend. Elyse A.
XYCO is one of the few indoor cycling studios (or maybe the last) that provides a Method class that truly focuses on pure cycling, which I really appreciate since rhythmic cycling just isn’t for me. It helps me to rebuild my stamina and meets my weekly cardio quota. The instructors are friendly, motivating (without being pushy) and the playlists are absolute killers. You will feel at home and welcomed the moment you walk into the studio and that their service is sincere – it doesn’t feel forced or intimidating. The studio itself has great amenities, and of course convenient location. Special shoutout to Alex (the OG) & the ever friendly Ian!!!

I’ve been with XYCO previously Anthem Cycling for over 6–7 years now, and it’s more than just a place to ride — it’s a community that keeps me coming back. From the very beginning, the energy, professionalism, and passion of the instructors have stood out. The classes are always challenging, high-energy, and fun, and there’s a real focus on not just fitness, but also personal growth and consistency. What makes XYCO truly special is the heart behind it — it’s not just about cycling, it’s about showing up, pushing limits, and celebrating every small victory along the way. Whether you’re a beginner or a long-time rider like me, you’ll always feel welcome and inspired. Grateful to be part of the XYCO family!
Melanie Herve
My journey at XYCO started a little over a year ago now and it’s become much more than a spin studio for me, it’s truly a community that challenges you to better yourself at your own pace. I’ve met some of my dearest friends here and it’s become part of my routine that I pretty much can’t live without. Highly recommend it to anyone that wants to try or get more into spin cycling!!

Instructors are encouraging and spend extra time for 1st time riders which I thought was really useful for them. Options were provided during class for riders of various abilities. They have a variety of class timings with theme rides to keep things fun! Thejr packages are affordable as well 🙂

Have been riding and pilate-ing with Absolute for more than a year now. I love how friendly everyone (from the front desk, to the instructors to the fellow “classmates” in class). I also ABSOLUTE-ly love riding with Triscilla and Tricia! They are my go-to every single week, their class is so structured and well-planned and I never fail to have a good workout at the end of every spin class. Thank you both for being the highlight of my week!

Absolute is a great place for workouts. The instructors are all professional and energetic, it is always a good experience. We particularly like to visit Millenia Walk for Vnex’s Cycle classes every Monday evening as we enjoy Mandopop and love the energy he brings to the room! It is always a good time and he motivates us to push hard.

R10t isn’t just a gym—it’s my energy boost! Spin classes there are like a dance party on a bike, with awesome tunes and instructors who make sweating fun. Joining R10t feels like joining a fitness-loving family!
Kevin KW
Came to try their spin class , quite enjoyed it here at R10T. Overall the facilities are fairly good , shower facilities and lockers were good. Spin room has good effects, the bikes are the usual Stages SC bikes, and the bikes resistance are quite “loose” and easy to cycle on compared to other places. maybe that’s why they ask us to start 3 turns up , whereas other studios usually ask for only 2 turns. Instructor instructions were clear and had good variety of moves
Miguel Angel poo
Excellent place to do indoor cycling! Amazing staff & coaches. More than enough space between bikes which makes it very comfortable to spin. Definitely the best place I’ve been in Singapore.

had an incredible experience at Ally Singapore’s spin class! From the moment I walked in, the energy was infectious. The studio is sleek, modern, and well-organized — the perfect setting to get in the zone.
Shu Hui
Went for a corporate spin class and it was pretty fun and manageable for a first timer. Post the spin, felt my arms and shoulders aching more than my legs. Pros is in the dark room, you are able to spin to your own comfort level without feeling intimidated by others. The trainer (Jasper) also doesn’t point out if you aren’t doing as well and encourage the group as a whole 🙂
Cheryl
First time trying out the Spin Class at Ally using Class Pass and it was a breeze from the check-in with FOH to being assisted with bike adjustment before class began. As mentioned in the email, good for first timers to arrive at least 15 mins before class to familiarize with the space. The spin coach – Jasper is a ball of infectious energy and kudos to him for keeping the class on track throughout the session. For a beginner, the pace was just right and there wasn’t any pressure to keep up with the class.

I have been a member of Algorhythm once it opened in 2021. Here I experienced my first spinning class and also the pilates class😊 Simin is a great instructor and happy to be here all the time. No matter what you had experienced for the days, just come and workout with Algorhythm team then you will feel great after that. All the instructors are good and they will not have any judgements on you. Thanks for their supports and assistance all the time. Happy to see that we are growing together along the years☺️ and more to come 🥰✌🏻
Carol Teo
Cosy, clean and nice smelling spin & pilates studio with professional and friendly instructors! Have been attending their spin classes for the past 1 year+ and recently started trying out their Pilates studio. The Pilates Foundation classes for newbies like me are super encouraging and because class is relatively cosy type (9 reformers iirc) with mirrors in front and on the side, instructors will help to correct form if it’s wrong and you can see for yourself where to improve too. Highly recommend for anyone who is looking to try out something new here! 🙂
Abraham Lee
Great choice of a spin studio in Singapore, probably one of my favorites! Came for a class via class pass and had a great experience. Our instructor, Jeremy was personable and guided us through the class. The studio also creates a welcoming environment with ample space and enough seating which creates a non – intimidating atmosphere for beginners! The location is also convenient, right next to Beauty World MRT. Studio is modern and everything feels new and classes are great too. Will be back!

Never assume that you will be just sitting and pedaling. Huge shoutout to the two kind & super fit instructors working out with us today. Their energy was unmatched! 🔥 45 mins : 570 calories. 😵 My attires were soaking wet even before the session ends. 😱 Spin Class should definitely be an add-on to your workouts, as a bucket-list or as a group gathering session. Thanks so much Ascend Fitness for this experience. ❤️

The studio is inside YMCA building and really easy to find. Take lift 3 to B1 or just use the stairs on the right hand side when you walk in YMCA (P.S. – there’s no sign on the stairs entrance) first impression was really good! Place is clean and new, front desk staff were super welcoming and helpful. The spin class was great ! Definitely get the heart rates up on the high 170! It could get quite crowded in the locker/female changing area as the Pilates and spin class both finished around the same time. But overall it was a great experience for me !
Lee XY
Up and new spin studio! They uses stages bike, not sure whether is new bikes the reason why they recco riders to spin at 1 turn instead of 2/3 as base. Their sprint tracks they usually go really fast, & absolutely love jolyn. She builds up the resistance (lever) with at least 4 turns to it, you’ll end up having lever to the right at the end of the track. WORTHY MENTION, shower head pressure is damn shiok

TheGirlCo’s Recommendation
Choosing the right spin studio depends on what you need—whether that’s comfort, intensity, or pure vibes. Here are our top picks based on different preferences:
1. If you’re new to spin and want something welcoming and pressure-free
Our pick: SYNC Cycle
SYNC Cycle is ideal for beginners or anyone returning to fitness after a break. The studio’s philosophy centres on inclusivity and enjoyment, which means no pressure to keep up, no intimidating energy, and no comparison culture. Their Fundamentals classes are thoughtfully designed to introduce rhythm cycling in a way that feels approachable, confidence-building, and genuinely fun.
What really sets SYNC Cycle apart is its comfort-first setup. From easy-to-use pedals and well-maintained bikes to instructors who take time to guide first-timers through proper form and resistance, everything is designed to help you feel supported. Add in their music-led rides and flexible pacing options, and you get a spin experience that feels empowering rather than overwhelming—perfect for women who want to build consistency without fear or self-consciousness.
2. If you want a premium, feel-good experience from start to finish
Our pick: ALLY
ALLY goes beyond fitness to deliver a full lifestyle experience. With its expansive, beautifully designed space, premium shower amenities, and attention to detail, this studio makes every visit feel intentional and indulgent. It’s the kind of place where self-care doesn’t end when the class does.
On the bike, ALLY’s ride formats are inclusive yet effective. Essentials 50 caters comfortably to all levels, while Signature 60 offers a deeper challenge without losing that supportive, communal feel. The semi-circular ride room encourages connection rather than competition, making classes feel uplifting and shared. If you value comfort, aesthetics, and an environment that respects your body and energy, ALLY delivers a polished experience that keeps you coming back.
3. If you want high-energy, music-driven rides that feel like a party
Our pick: R10T
R10T is for women who get their motivation from music, atmosphere, and unapologetic fun. Every ride feels like stepping into a nightclub—complete with pulsing lights, booming playlists, and instructors who know how to hype a room. If traditional workouts bore you, this is where spin starts to feel like play.
Their themed Signature R1DE classes keep things exciting week after week, while the Advanced PRIME Series offers progression through wrist weights and more complex choreography. Despite the party vibes, the workouts are no joke—you’ll leave drenched, energised, and buzzing with post-ride confidence. R10T is perfect for women who want cardio that feels expressive, joyful, and emotionally uplifting, not repetitive or rigid.
4. If you want a mindful, emotionally grounding spin experience
Our pick: ALGORHYTHM
ALGORHYTHM offers something refreshingly different from the usual hype-driven spin culture. With its dark-room setting and minimal visual distractions, classes encourage riders to tune inward and move with intention. The focus here isn’t on performance or comparison—it’s on breath, rhythm, and personal connection to movement.
Many riders describe the experience as meditative yet powerful, making it ideal for women who see fitness as a form of self-care and emotional reset. If you want spin to feel grounding, introspective, and deeply personal, ALGORHYTHM is a standout choice.
Final Thoughts
Spin studios have evolved into far more than places to burn calories—they’ve become spaces where women reconnect with their strength, confidence, and emotional well-being. Whether you’re chasing endorphins, community, or a moment of mental clarity, the right studio can transform your fitness routine into something you genuinely look forward to.
If spin has sparked your love for movement and you’re ready to explore more structured or specialised workouts, you may also want to check out the best women’s gyms in Singapore—especially those designed exclusively for ladies who value comfort, empowerment, and consistency in their fitness journey.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. Do I need to buy those special “cleated” shoes before my first class?
In Singapore, almost all boutique studios provide cleated cycling shoes for free as part of your session. You don’t need to go out and buy a pair of $200 road shoes.
Important: While they provide the shoes, they generally do not provide socks for free. If you forget yours, you’ll likely have to buy a pair at the front desk for about $2–$5. Always pack a pair of mid-calf or ankle socks in your bag!
2. Is it better to book via ClassPass or buy a direct studio package?
This is the ultimate Singaporean dilemma.
ClassPass: Great for “studio hopping” and flexibility. If you like variety (spin on Monday, Pilates on Wednesday), this is the way to go.
Studio Packages: Better if you’ve found a specific “tribe” or instructor you love. Direct packages often give you priority booking (crucial for popular 7:00 PM slots) and can be cheaper per class if you buy in bulk (e.g., 50-class packs).
3. I have zero rhythm. Will I be able to keep up?
Most studios in Singapore focus on rhythmic cycling, which is essentially dancing on a bike. If you can’t catch the beat, don’t worry. The “dark room” policy is your best friend—nobody can see that you’re off-beat except the instructor, and they’re usually too busy hyping up the room to judge. Just keep your legs moving and focus on the resistance.
4. What is the deal with the “Rhabdo” scare?
You might have seen news reports about Rhabdomyolysis (muscle breakdown) linked to spin. While it sounds scary, it’s mostly a risk for people who go 110% intensity on their very first session after years of zero exercise.
Pro-tip: Listen to your body. If your legs feel like jelly, sit down (in the saddle) and just pedal lightly. Don’t feel pressured to stand and “double-time” if you’re feeling faint.
5. What should I wear? (Can I wear my oversized FBTs?)
Technically you can, but form-fitting bottoms are highly recommended. Loose or flared shorts can get caught in the bike’s crank arm or the flywheel. Most Singaporean “spinners” opt for:
- High-waisted leggings or biker shorts.
- Moisture-wicking tops (it gets incredibly humid in a room of 30 people sweating).
- Avoid 100% cotton—it becomes a heavy, soggy mess halfway through the playlist.
6. How early do I actually need to reach the studio?
The “Singaporean 5-minutes-late” rule does not apply here. Most studios have a strict no-latecomer policy. If the door shuts, you’re usually barred from entry for safety reasons (and because it’s dark, you might trip).
Aim to arrive 15 minutes early, especially if you’re a newbie. You’ll need time to check in, stow your bag, and get help adjusting your bike seat height and handlebar reach.
7. Do I need to bring my own towel?
Most boutique studios provide two towels: a small one on your bike for sweat, and a larger one for the shower. However, some “budget” or community-based studios might require you to bring your own. Always check the “Amenities” section on your booking app before you head out.
8. Are the showers “battlegrounds” during peak hours?
If you’re attending a 7:00 AM class before heading to the CBD for work, yes. There is often a queue for the showers.
The Strategy: Some people “ninja” out of the room the moment the final song ends (skipping the cool-down stretch) to beat the shower queue. If you value your hamstrings, stay for the stretch and just accept the 10-minute wait.
9. What happens if I need to cancel my class?
In Singapore, the standard cancellation window is usually 12 hours. If you cancel within that window (or “no-show”), you lose the credit. For ClassPass users, this often results in a “Late Cancel” fee ranging from $15 to $25.
10. Can I “trade” or “sell” my class credits to someone else?
You’ll often see people on Telegram groups or Carousell trying to “offload” credits or “swap” ClassPass slots. While common, be careful—some studios check IDs or app profiles to ensure the person who booked is the one showing up. It’s generally safer to stick to official transfers if the studio’s booking system allows it.
