WSQ Understanding Viticulture, Vinification and Wine Packaging The course leader was Jayden Lam and he is knowledgeable about all things wine. Being a basic course, Jayden is more than capable of handling all questions asked of him. The class was lively and it helps when you also have friends with you – and we also made friends while attending the course too. Understanding how wine is made, the essentials of fermentation and how to describe flavours and smells was totally interesting and educational. Just knowing the 6 S actually opens up the whole wine tasting experience. My only gripe was the range of wines available for tasting… perhaps a few more dollars will bring the whole experience to the next level.
