My daughter gets so excited every year to see what her new cake will look like — and it always tastes as amazing as it looks. Thank you for making her birthdays so special every time!

My first experience ordering from Creme Maison Bakery was great! I tried the earl grey and chrysanthemum flavours and found them delicious – perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, with distinct, rich notes. I was also incredibly impressed with their artistic skills; I simply showed them an inspiration picture, and they replicated the design exactly. I will definitely be a returning customer!

First time ordering online from Whyzee. Got a strawberry cake for my husband’s birthday for same day delivery. Delivery was on time and service was great. The cake did not disappoint. Our family was really happy with the cake 😊. Strongly recommended!

Wilmar Millares Basiano
Really enjoyed the Whyzee vegan choco cake! Super moist, rich, and chocolatey, honestly didn’t feel like a “vegan” cake at all. Not too sweet, very indulgent, and perfect even for non-vegans. Would definitely order again

Nur Sarah
So unfortunately due to my milk and egg allergy I’ve not eaten cake for a long time and whyzee got my cravings satisfied. And I can never ever get over the moist cake just melting in my mouth. It is the best cake I’ve tasted by far and it is vegan. Thank you for the amazing cake.

Mel Goh
I first heard of HoneyPeachSG from my hubby who ordered a cake for my birthday. It was a lovely earl grey lavender cake which was not too sweet. This time I ordered a cake for a 70th birthday and as usual, the bakery didn’t disappoint. I did some customization to the cake and turned out nice, though the flowers (could have been darker) and peaches would have been more vibrant for contrast. Overall, 5 stars especially for the ease in coordination and ordering process!

Hsing Ling Chung
Loved Honey Peach’s beautiful and creative custom cake for our baby girl’s full month celebration. We had a yummy strawberry shortcake for our guests with a beautiful baby girl design. The team at Honey Peach was also very professional and accommodating for our custom cake design and delivery. Highly recommended!

Justin Tay
Ordered 2 cakes from this bakery sofar and they did not disappoint. The earl grey lavender was just right but the other 2 (lemon & matcha strawberries) turned out quite sweet. Would be great if they were less sweet. Otherwise, cake presentation is lovely.

My wife has severe lactose intolerance, so she’s had to miss out on so many of her favorite treats—cakes, pastries, ice cream. Every time she walked into a bakery full of anticipation and walked out disappointed, it was heartbreaking to watch. Then we discovered Delcie’s Cakes, and everything changed. For her birthday, I surprised her with a few of their lactose-free cakes. Seeing her face light up with joy was truly touching. We’re incredibly grateful for Delcie’s Cakes and hope they continue to bring happiness to people like my wife for many years to come.

Yanice Lim
I had a great experience with this cake shop. The cake tasted fresh, balanced in sweetness, and you can tell high-quality ingredients were used. The design matched exactly what I requested, and the staff were patient and responsive. Pricing is reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended for birthdays and special occasions!

CHIN Ong
I first tried the Decadent Dark Chocolate cake from the Jewel outlet, and it tasted better than I expected. At first, I thought it might be too rich in chocolate, but when I saw the word “decadent,” I understood why — it truly lives up to its name! This time, I went for the Queen Ispahan, and I really enjoyed it. The colour and presentation are visually appealing— it instantly caught my attention, and I can see why it’s one of their bestsellers. The raspberry Bavaroise (the cream on the outside) adds a nice touch of sourness, almost like a yoghurt flavour. The vanilla Namelaka pairs beautifully with the lychee, creating a light and elegant balance. I also loved the raspberry sablée — a French shortbread biscuit that’s enhanced with raspberry, making it more flavourful than a regular biscuit. The price may be on the higher side (over $10 per slice), but given the quality and attention to detail, I think it’s definitely worth it.

Cynthia Ang
We bought their Yuzu Raspberry cake home for my daughter’s birthday with this pretty and cute candle. The cake is flavorful with bits of yuzu and raspberry, very light, fine and moist texture that melts in your mouth.

The Christmas brownie looks so pretty and was really tasty! Sweetness level is just nice for me. For the portion, the price is also super worth. This is my 1st time ordering from Bob the Baker boy. The reviews weren’t wrong. Their response is really prompt, and I’m surprised that sometimes they respond late at night which I appreciate their flexibility to accommodate to customers. The cake tonal effect like a sunset turned out perfectly the way I pictured it. My family said it’s not too sweet (Belgium Signature Chocolate) and they loved it. Most importantly the birthday girl (grandma) loved it so much, she said it’s the best cake she ever received. Thank you so much, the team at Bob the Baker Boy for being consistent and living up to expectations! 🙏🏻 🫶🏻🫶🏻

TheGirlCo’s Recommendation

With so many cake shops in Singapore, choosing the right one often comes down to what kind of celebration you’re planning. Whether you value heritage, wellness, aesthetics, or personalisation, these four picks stand out for different reasons.

Our pick: Polar Puffs & Cakes

Perfect for women who appreciate tradition, reliability, and flavours that never go out of style, Polar Puffs & Cakes has been a trusted name in Singapore since 1926. 2. If you want health-conscious indulgence without compromising taste

Their allergy-friendly, Halal-certified cakes are free from refined sugar, eggs, dairy, cholesterol, and trans fats, yet remain moist, flavourful, and satisfying. What makes Delcie’s especially meaningful is its inclusive approach — these cakes are designed so everyone at the table, from children to seniors and those with dietary restrictions, can enjoy dessert together. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

For standard cakes available on a bakery’s daily menu, a lead time of 2 to 3 days is usually sufficient. However, for fully customized cakes—such as those for weddings or elaborate themed birthdays—most shops require at least 1 to 2 weeks. During peak festive seasons like Chinese New Year, Christmas, or Mother’s Day, it is best to book at least a month in advance as slots fill up quickly across the island.

In Singapore, a Halal-certified shop has undergone a rigorous audit by MUIS (Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura) to ensure all ingredients, preparation areas, and even utensils meet Islamic standards.

A “Muslim-friendly” shop usually means they do not use pork, lard, or alcohol in their recipes but have not officially applied for the certificate. If you are ordering for a corporate event or a school function, many institutions strictly require a MUIS Halal certificate for the food to be brought onto the premises.

Our high humidity and heat are “merciless” toward cakes.

  • Fresh cream or fruit cakes: Should not stay out for more than 30 to 45 minutes.
  • Buttercream cakes: Can typically last 1 to 2 hours in a cool, air-conditioned room.
  • Fondant cakes: These are the most resilient but should still be kept away from direct sunlight to prevent “sweating” or melting.

If your venue is outdoors (like a BBQ pit or a park), it is highly recommended to keep the cake in a cooler box with ice packs until the moment you are ready to sing “Happy Birthday.”

Cake sizes in Singapore are typically measured by diameter in inches or by weight (kg).

  • 4-inch (approx. 0.5kg): Best for 2 to 4 pax; ideal for intimate celebrations or “smash cakes.”
  • 6-inch (approx. 1kg): The most popular size, serving 6 to 8 pax.
  • 8-inch (approx. 1.5kg – 2kg): Suitable for 10 to 15 pax.
  • Tall vs. Standard: Many modern “boutique” cakes are taller (5-6 inches high) rather than wide, which can provide more servings than a traditional flat sponge cake of the same diameter.

This is one of the most common requests in Singapore. Many local artisanal bakeries already specialize in “reduced sugar” recipes to cater to health-conscious consumers.

However, for customized cakes using fondant or macarons, there is a limit to how much sugar can be reduced because these elements rely on sugar for structural integrity.

If you prefer a lower sugar profile, look for shops that use meringue-based buttercreams or chantilly cream rather than American buttercream.

If you are opting for self-collection, the safest place for a cake is the floor of the front passenger seat.

  • Why the floor? It is the flattest surface in the car and benefits most directly from the air-conditioning.
  • Avoid the seat: Car seats are slanted, which can cause the cake to slide or the layers to shift during transit.
  • Max AC: Turn your air-con to the coldest setting at least 5 minutes before placing the cake inside.

Most Singaporean bakeries provide a standard plastic knife and one or two thin candles for free upon request. However, customized “Happy Birthday” acrylic toppers, “sparkler” candles, or specialized age candles usually come at an extra cost (ranging from $2 to $15).

Always check your order summary to see if these are included or need to be added to your cart separately.

Contrary to popular belief, fondant cakes should ideally not be refrigerated if they are already decorated with intricate 3D figures. The humidity in a standard fridge can cause the sugar to soften and the colors to run once you take it out into the warm Singapore air.

It is best to keep them in a cool, air-conditioned room. If you must refrigerate it, place the cake in an airtight container or wrap the box in several layers of cling wrap to minimize condensation when it is removed from the fridge.

Many high-quality bakeries in Singapore use real butter rather than oil or margarine. Real butter hardens in the fridge (just like a stick of butter).

For the best experience, cakes like butter cakes, mud cakes, or chocolate ganache cakes should be “thawed” at room temperature for about 20 to 30 minutes before serving to regain their soft, moist texture.

Because cakes are perishable and often made-to-order, most Singaporean cake shops have a no-refund policy for cancellations made within 48 to 72 hours of the delivery date.

However, many are willing to offer store credit or allow you to postpone the date if you provide enough notice. For customized cakes, the deposit is usually non-refundable once the baker has already purchased specific ingredients or started on hand-made decorations.
