The cafe’s cake selection is truly exceptional. The balance of flavors in each slice is perfection, and I appreciate that they aren’t overly sweet. It’s evident that the bakers have mastered the art of creating desserts that are both indulgent and refined. Praise to the cafe for delivering such a delightful and satisfying culinary experience! The environment inviting ambiance creates a warm and cozy atmosphere, making it an ideal place to unwind. The tasteful decor and soothing music enhance the overall experience, providing a perfect setting for enjoying delicious drinks and delightful conversations.

I went here twice. The name says the food is delicious — and it is!! The first day I got the mushroom and kale pita for breakfast and the signature scone. The second day I order their pancakes. On both days I ordered a late. If I had been in Singapore longer, I probably would have went again, or daily for breakfast. I recommend this place and am excited to try more things on the menu next time I am in Singapore.

Muhammad Rushdi
A welcoming little cafe here in Arab Street. After being away from Singapore for 6 years, it is delightful to find Melbourne style coffee and cakes here in Singapore. Excellent coffee and delicious cakes, with hospitable & friendly staff. Will definitely visit this cafe again the next time I’m in Singapore. 👍🏻 ☕️

Customer Reviews

Alex Goh
Had a group lunch at Fika after hearing some good reviews from friends. We had quite a large group of more than 10pax but Fika was able to accommodate us with no fuss and that was greatly appreciated! Food was really good! Both in terms of quality as well as presentation. Portions were excellent too and everyone in my group really cleaned our plates even though we were really full just from the soup, bread basket and potato salad. However, once the mains were served, there was no stopping us! And naturally, there’s always room for desserts! All items were well balanced in taste and texture plus the service staff were so polite. Definitely a place I would frequent again!

Jo Jo
Ordered apple crumble with a huge scoop of ice cream. Delicious, could be a little more seasoned. Fisherman pasta was filled with plenty seafood. Prawns were especially fresh. Pasta was Al dente. Sauce was delicious although a little salty. Great service and environment (indoors).

Eseel Kimiko Anyie
Never fell in love this easy with food before and yes i said it. I love how tasty the meatballs are and the beef stew are made with almost perfection. Definitely come again next time to try some new dishes next time.

IMHO, it is the best coffee place at NUS. Their manuka honey macchiato is a must-try. They have different promotions during weekdays, and normally on Thursday afternoons there are long queues for the 1For1. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Just sad that it is closing soon.

Stephanie
The Maxx Coffee at NUS is a cozy place with inviting aesthetic and quiet atmosphere. Ordered a chicken pie and iced caramel chocolate, but accidentally spilled my entire drink after I only took 2 sips of it because I accidentally tilted the uneven table. I went to the counter to ask for napkins to clean up the mess, but the man at the counter later came over with a full and free replacement drink while the lady who took my order came over with a mop and bucket to clean my mess up. I was very grateful. All in all, a lovely place to dine and study at NUS.

Eek
Nice atmosphere and coffee. Affordable too. Best part are the staff members. Accidentally spilled a large cup of coffee. Staff was friendly and understanding in helping to clean up, and gave us a full replacement cup without us asking. Excellent service!!!

Food and drinks varieties were excellent. Taste were superb! Prices were affordable for the big portion. Staff were also very friendly. Ambience were cute and cozy especially outdoor area where you can take photos. Got tokens to a ball machine and received vouchers. Will definitely come again.

Angeline Tan
Food was solid! Prices were a little expensive but reasonable for the quality of the food. Staff were also very friendly and helpful, they kept topping up our water without us asking. Chicken pastas came with a huge portion of chicken, much to our surprise! Milkshakes were really nice as well. Definitely coming back!

Alvin Chiang
Love the food! Easily one of the best cafe to serve proper halal food. Was a little worried about previous reviews on average service, but I received nothing but warm welcome and attentive service. The steak with pasta and lamb rack with pasta are out of this world! Definitely coming back for more. The Wagyu Croquette was a pleasant surprise.

Haikal Tubs
Great food with beautifully plated dishes-with prompt service, some halal cafes, that is just a stones throw away from Chinatown area. The teriyaki beef bowl is super nice. The steak with spaghetti could be better, the beef is bit tough even though we asked for medium doneness.. and the salad that comes with the dish could do with some dressing.. A pleasant whiff of truffle fries throughout the cafes.. Overall good experience!

Violetta Kolesnikova
Always great breakfasts! Loved how you can make your own, which the choice of bread and the method of cooking eggs. Steaks are also great!)

Made a reservation but was late but staff were super friendly and understanding. Ordered Egg Benedict and Salted Egg Chicken Burger, upgraded to the set with Cappuccino and Mushroom Soup. Food came super fast, like within 5-10 minutes of ordering! The cappuccino and mushroom soup were great, loved the latte art. Also the eggs Benedict was on point, compared to other eggs Benedict dishes I’ve had at other cafes. Servings were generous and left feeling very satisfied.

Customer Reviews

Cheng Heng Tan
Another Highly Recommended Souffle Pancake! Ordered Hazelnut Chcocolate with Salted Caramel. It is a Sinfully Delicious 🍭 Most fluffy! Sweetness is just right! Now I have to go back again…

Esme
Went there on a weekday right before lunch time and it was blissfully empty. We ordered two sets of the regular souffle pancakes and they were great! Super fluffy and the salted butter by the side was really what I wanted. It can get super crowded on weekends, so try to avoid going at that time if possible.

Siti Parti (mssiti)
This is the place for fluffy souffle pancake. They’re pretty light and goes down easily. There’s not a lot of choices to make, but that was already a challenge to narrow down. The dishes are not cloyingly sweet either which was great! It’s a small place in a popular mall so be prepared to queue. However, the turnover is rather quick as people are mostly here for the desserts.

Great atmosphere. Good and affordable ice cream for a cafe. Got the customised ice cream waffle and it tasted pretty good. Waffle was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside which is my taste. Blueberry ice cream tasted pretty yoghurt-like and the earl grey tasted way better. Would recommend and go again to try other flavours.

Very contented with the service here by a female staff. Couldn’t get her name, the skinny and slim one. Her service was excellent and friendly. She recommended us the desserts promptly when we just sat down and provided us with excellent service throughout.

Customer Reviews

Bernard Sim
Visited this restaurant for the first time today and was absolutely delighted by the explosion of flavors in the plate of rice I ordered. I opted for the Grilled Chicken Rice, and I couldn’t resist adding an onsen egg to elevate the experience. To complement my meal, I decided to try the Falafel side dish as well. The Grilled Chicken was a culinary masterpiece, offering a delightful blend of spices that danced on my taste buds with each bite. The accompanying sauce perfectly complemented the rice, while the onsen egg contributed a luscious, velvety texture to every mouthful. As for the Falafel, it too was a symphony of flavors. I must say, I left the restaurant with a smile on my face and a contented palate. This meal exceeded my expectations in every way. Highly recommended! 🍽️👌

Siti Humaiera
Went to eat there for Team Lunch. The vibes  and the food was spectacular. The food was just super filling. The staff was super good to us making sure that we are comfortable and the food was okay. Super recommend coming here !!   🏻

Howard
Filling but healthy and delicious, there’s plenty of options and combinations to try. The seating is spartan but practical and the food came out quickly. Spicy sauce (which had a real kick) was served on the side to suit individual tastes. For the price this is definitely worth adding to the lunch options for the area.

Great coffee stop! Located inside UE Square. Enjoyed their Filter Coffee and Iced Caffe Latte. Their croissant is really good too to pair with the drinks. The place is nice to take a break from work or your walk, also nice for meet-ups and conversations. Took home a bag of beans to brew too and happy that we did.

Nice place to have your coffee and try their food: wraps, pastries, pies. You can enjoy your Latte inside or outside. Umm, they have some cookies and more wonderful drinks. Comfy chairs and a very clean place, too.

The food here is fantastic. They are masters with flavour and use of herbs. It’s so in line with the whole experience of dining in the Botanical Gardens. For starters, the Octopus and duck are a must try. For Mains, get the scallops (they come with Barramundi). Both are great and served with beautiful balsamic vinegar (not the supermarket kind).
