Highly recommend Studio Asobi if you are looking to try your hands on pottery! Attended the handbuilding session conducted by Huiwen. She is so patient and encouraging. Also enjoyed the chat while we handbuilt. It’s a nice intimate home studio that is unlike a typical pottery studio, so it puts you at ease especially if it’s your first time. Both Kenneth and Huiwen are passionate about their craft and you can feel their sincerity in teaching.

Super stoked to have received my pieces from TPG earlier. Had a great company team bonding session at TPG a couple of weeks back and would highly recommend them! The instructors/ ceramicists were highly skilled, friendly and patient in guiding us along. Thought it was really professional that they took the time to explain the more technical aspects of the craft with us too – I.e. nature of the clay, how to apply pressure onto the clay at certain angles or an appropriate amount etc. Was a short session but takeaways aplenty! Today come @tkpotteryjungle for some indoor activities coz bad weather. Turns out to be a really educational & cultural experience! We spend so much time here learning not about pottery but history as well! Everyone is so friendly here and allow us to explore at our own pace! This is like walking through a casual, free entry museum and I can also shop for the exhibits which I like! (I see the porcelain pillows I like!) Fantastic location for beautiful pottery. Prices are a little steep so maybe go with a local if you want to negotiate. The objects are all authentic handmade and beautiful. The location is quite out of the city and the road from the local bus stop was confusing. A great spot for pottery lovers and the staff are friendly and let you have peace to browse through the collections.

This place is my go to sanctuary after a busy week. The teachers are incredible ~ skilful, clear in their instructions and always up for a laugh. The whole atmosphere feels very homely and inspiring. We got to mold 2 blocks of clay in the 1.5hrs, while Alvin went through the techniques patiently and clearly, as well as giving us assistance when we need to ensure we are learning, having fun and creating something we would want to bring home.
