Really want to thank Social Worker Daniel for going the extra mile seeking permission to allow my family to visit our relative during CNY despite us having more than the stipulated number of visitors (2pax). I thought we would be able to bring our relative down to level 1 to meet the rest of the family in the open area or garden if we exceeded the 2pax. Unfortunately Ling Kwang Home is very strict about this, and does not allow it. I suppose it may be because they also have a day care centre at level 1 and they would not want any cross infection happening. Staff are generally polite. Pleasant experience.

Very well run nursing home manned by professional and compassionate staff. The building is purpose built as a nursing home hence is well ventilated throughout the wards. All laundry and cooking is done in house. I have taken my mom out on home leave on a few occasions and things are all organized to facilitate the home leave such as medication and diapers supplies. We hv our own wheelchair and the home loaned us a walking frame to enable my mom to walk at times.

Seems to be a well run place. my aunt went in after a long hospital stay for a serious bacteria infection. she also has severe dementia. She looks distinctively healthier since she stayed there. there is a large social area for the aged to play games and talk to each other. It is an airy place but there is no aircon which is probably better given covid 19. the nurses are all cheerful looking and helpful.

Had my nursing advance diploma attachment in SJH during the pre-covid. Suddenly remembered the beautiful moments in SJH when I was discussing with my friends which is a good nursing home when we are unable to care for ourselves. The staff in SJH are very friendly and passionate about patient care. Unlike many other depressing nursing homes in other parts of Singapore, patients here have plenty of activities to keep them occupy. They also can participate in mass if they would like to. There are volunteers to wheelchair them to the mass. They also have childcare here where young kids learn to interact with the elderly in the home. The home also provide healthy lunch for their staff working there. Miss this amazing place.

I visited a client today at Allium and I am truly impressed with the quality of the home and the service provided from the front desk reception to very personalised communication maintained with family members. I saw the dedication and personality of the team of nurses in Ward 1A, and how it lifts up the spirit of the subject. The location is not all that convenient but it’s tranquil and being next to Windsor park, the room I was in had an amazing greenery view.

Allium was a life saviour for our family. Mum ( with dementia) was there for 2 months and adjusted well there. She called it her hotel and enjoyed the activities and food. Thru the photos and updates, we saw mum drawing, arranging flowers, doing puzzles, calligraphy, physio exercises and games, making cookies and pastries etc. Staff were friendly, attentive and alert.
