I have tried many Penang laksa in Singapore and Penang. Hands down this is the best! Well balance explosion of flavours. The seller import herself the correct kind of noodles all the way from Penang. If know how to appreciate this dish, it’s definitely worth $10. You simply cannot find anything this good in Singapore.
Kekwa Wan
Crossed border from JB to tapao this Penang Assam Laksa. Wouldn’t mind the price, it is honestly pricier than before but I mean those fish chunks in the soup is generous, the secret black sauce (i think its rojak sauce) is such a clever combo with kuah and the mint leaves. This time I ordered it without chillies as my palate couldn’t tolerate any spicier. Most important is that it is HALAL! Love the lady serving us, so kind and friendly to us Malays 😊 Don’t forget to order the kerang, it usually so fresh and bigger than any other shop selling it. Will be craving this until my next bowl of Assam Laksa!
kitchimeow
Super stoked that she decided to come back after the hawker centre renovations, I thought that I’d lost her forever. This penang laksa is a game changer and altered my perception of assam laksa, which I’ve never liked, till I had a taste of hers. Had a large serving of cockles too and each one was perfectly done, at 70% cooked per my request. Dipping chilli is also perfect. I’m just so happy that I have access once again to this super good food, and without long queues too. I’ve heard people complain about the $10 price tag, are kidding me? Give it a taste and know what you are paying for and then you will realise that YOU are the one getting a good deal! I’ll be back for more!

Packed with flavours. Highly recommend. Definitely my favorite place for Katong Laksa.

Amazing laksa and it’s not too spicy! Really love the richness of the broth and also the noodles!! Will definitely come back!
Vanessa Tan
Quick easy way to eat laksa without chopsticks cuz they snipped the noodles short short for you (apparently its a practice from Janggut himself cutting them short to let customers eat faster at his roadside pedal store). Yummy laksa broth! Ate without hum. Different from traditional laksa (im not very familiar with different types of laksa) Inspired us with watching Food Feuds shortly after about the ORIGINAL KATONG LAKSA documentary. Sat thinking the laksa would be the most popular but as it turns out, everyone else was eating their curry chicken! Would order that next time cuz it smells and looks so good!! And also the chicken cutlet looks pretty good. Will be back! Interesting location and atmosphere uniquely Queensway with people spilling out toward the atrium of the mall! 😂 Reached around 11.30am on a weekday and we got seats immediately! But i heard u’d have to be prepared to wait during hot lunch crowds.

Had late lunch here today. I liked that it was quiet yet cosy. Service was excellent; the manager went out of his way to make sure we had comfy seating, explained the menu to us, and helped keep our takeway in a thermal bag. Laksa was really flavourful and the otah was quite special. Being the lazy person that I am, would have liked the prawns peeled 🤣, but I understand that the presentation looked much better otherwise. Overall it was a great meal! Would definitely drop by again if I’m around the area.
Finca
Just one word : delicious! Unique taste of their laksa. I’ve been here twice. Try their beancurd roll and laksa.
CRAIG BRODEY
This place is rebranded as Wild Coco just to avoid confusion when you are in the street. A delicious creamy rich Laksa, it came very quickly, so there was no time to eat the peanuts I thought I needed as an apertizer, but there was no need as the Laksa was a meal in itself. Would definitely recommend. 👌

From the moment my family and I stepped into San Laksa, we knew we were in for a treat. The ambiance of the restaurant set the stage for what turned out to be an unforgettable dining experience. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the steamboat laksa – a harmonious blend of spicy, savory, and creamy flavors that tantalized our taste buds. Each spoonful was a delightful surprise, perfectly capturing the essence of traditional laksa with a unique twist. Equally impressive was the Nasi Lemak. The rice was fragrantly cooked, paired beautifully with the rich, flavorful sambal that was just the right amount of spicy. The accompaniments were fresh and complemented the rice splendidly, making each bite a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The service at San Laksa deserves a special mention. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making us feel welcomed and valued. Their recommendations were spot on, and they played a significant role in making our dining experience exceptional. In summary, San Laksa is more than just a restaurant; it’s a destination for those who appreciate exquisite flavors and heartwarming hospitality. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an extraordinary culinary adventure. We left with satisfied bellies and the intention to return very soon. Thank you, San Laksa, for a memorable evening!

Knew that this is an early bird stall, thus went very early one week day to try the Laksa out. I’m not disappointed with this unassuming stall! Like it even better than the more famous ones out there. The gravy is light and flavorful at the same time. Added extra hums. I’ll definitely be back to eat more Laksa or try the Mee Siam.

Just had our yummilicious orders from Hup Hup! We ordered their Signature Mee Siam, Lorh Mee and Laksa. It comes in a big bowl given the price and really worth for the taste. If you are craving for something similar, recommend to check them out.

Best laksa in Circuit Road! I travelled from the West with my passport and it was definitely worth the effort! Laksa was a heartwarming dish – springy rice thick beehoon enveloped in a piquant spiced broth with notes of coconut and haebee (shrimp). The taste of Hup Hup’s Laksa was further enhanced by the addition of laksa leaves and sambal, served piping hot by a very friendly boss.

I loved the prawn Laksa which has flavorful and authentic soup base. Also,The chicken thigh rice was tender and juicy and the portion is much larger portion than I expected. It also came with cucumber as a side dish, and paired with the oily rice, it was a perfect match that I enjoyed mouthful after mouthful. Recommend for it, will visit again. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Leow HS
They serve probably the best Sarawak laksa that I ever had comparing to the ones in east Malaysia. I especially love the chilli that came with the laksa. It had such a good blend of umami and spice. The only one that came close was probably in Miri. I often eat at the place and the quality of their laksa was always consistent. They could be closed on public holidays so do check out their Facebook page for updates!

After Kuching trip, was missing the unique taste of Sarawak laksa and this led us to this stall that we passed by. This stall helmed by a couple specialises in fusion Sarawak laksa and kolo mee. Ordered a kolo mee (big $5.50) and sarawak laksa (small $5.50). Sarawak laksa was very good with generous portion and ingredients. Prawns were especially fresh and succulent. Laksa broth was thick and really closely similar taste to what I had in Kuching. They did a great job with their broth, blended very well with spices and herbs. Excellent bee hoon absorbed the flavour of the broth and very soft. Kolo mee was well worth, generous portion with yummy mince meat & fabulous soft char siew. Not forgetting their crispy pork lard added. Yummy!! 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋

Had a take out of Sarawak Laksa. Considered affordable priced with 3 pieces of prawns at current inflation climate. Owner is easy going. Allowed me to split payment with DBS paylah and shopback mobile apps. I have never been to Sarawak so i had never tried their local laksa but this store’s Sarawak laksa is a must try. I will return again!
