1. Xiabu Xiabu Hot Pot

Xiabu Xiabu Hot Pot Singapore Steamboat

Xiabu Xiabu, derived from the Japanese term “Shabu Shabu,” is a good steamboat in Singapore, epitomising the essence of “Enjoy Your Own” dining. Patrons can select from a diverse array of sumptuous soup bases, each meticulously crafted to cater to a spectrum of taste preferences, all while adhering to the highest standards of quality. Plus, these hotpot sets are paired with popular bubble tea options from Tea Mi Tea.

Customer Reviews

Charlotte Chong
The food is nice and very suitable for rainy weather. The ambience is great too for small or large group gathering. Carmen is a very friendly server. She is patience and always serve us with a smile. I will definitely come back again.

Toh Hong Rui
Probably my favourite hotpot now. Xiabu Xiabu is a single pot hotpot concept under Cou Cou, think budget version of Cou Cou. This means that the soup bases are going to be similar, and the food that they offer are also gonna be of similar standards. Just like Cou Cou, Xiabu Xiabu also serves bubble tea with your meal. In fact, every set that you order comes with a bubble tea, with options to top up/upgrade to your liking. The beef are all very fresh and fatty, and the souo bases rich. Sauces are also of high standard, and are included in the set. The only thing that I didn’t like was the dessert counter, serving shaved ice with fruit toppings. The sets are all reasonably priced, and even with upsizes to the meats and upgrades to the bubble tea, it usually tops out at about $40 per pax after GST. Recommended to try the beef, pork stomach soup, and any of the milk teas with oat.

Wan Chew Lee
The service is very good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is fresh. Free flow of lu rou fan, sauce, and shaved ice. 1 set portion is more than enough for one person. There’s free crabsticks for mala soup set. We were also offered free tea each after our meal.

Customer Reviews

Sherrill Arabelle
I seriously love their options available for meat. And their frog & prawns are SUPER DUPER FRESH. It’s so delicious. Their golden chicken soup is yummy. I love it. Plus they got desserts also leh. SO DAMN AMAZING. So good. Their Xmas wine is yummy as well. I love it. The sauce selection is amazing too!

Valerie Leong
I love that there is no long queue and there are half portions for small groups. I like their tomato soup and the golden chicken soup. The slice mutton was good. They now serve desserts and I tried one of the bingsu. The shaved ice was nice but there were too many starchy taro balls in it. Vegetarian options: Can choose mushroom soup and there are lots of veggies to choose from.

Mr Rafael
Got a lot of food options to choose that some hot pot store dont have. Like liver and kidney. Food is nice and portion is decent. The have daily promotions which is value for money. The store from the outside looks small and hidden. But inside is big. Staff are nice and friendly.

Customer Reviews

Saravanan Gopal
“From the moment my family and I stepped into San Laksa, we knew we were in for a treat. The ambiance of the restaurant set the stage for what turned out to be an unforgettable dining experience. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the steamboat laksa – a harmonious blend of spicy, savory, and creamy flavors that tantalized our taste buds. Each spoonful was a delightful surprise, perfectly capturing the essence of traditional laksa with a unique twist. Equally impressive was the Nasi Lemak. The rice was fragrantly cooked, paired beautifully with the rich, flavorful sambal that was just the right amount of spicy. The accompaniments were fresh and complemented the rice splendidly, making each bite a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The service at San Laksa deserves a special mention. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making us feel welcomed and valued. Their recommendations were spot on, and they played a significant role in making our dining experience exceptional. In summary, San Laksa is more than just a restaurant; it’s a destination for those who appreciate exquisite flavors and heartwarming hospitality. Customer Reviews

Laney Low
It is a little restaurant hidden at the corner. There is some waiting time before my friends and I got a table. The staff will take our order first. We order the twin pot collagen original and spinach to try. We have added the vegetable combo, pork combo , fried tofu , ring roll and mochi noodle. The vegetable are fresh. The pork are tender which compliment the soup broth of collagen. They serve us complimentary dessert with their thank you.

Sue Gan
This is our most favorite restaurant in Singapore. What more can you say when you have collagen chicken soup with fresh ingredients and amazing service. The kids totally love coming here for our special dinner meals. And best part, you will get one time free refill of the chicken soup. More collagen for your face 😎. We truly enjoyed our dinner here.

7. Coca

COCA Singapore Steamboat

Fusing the essence of authentic Thai flavours with the comforting familiarity of Cantonese home-style cooking, Coca has established itself as one of the most beloved steamboat places in Singapore. Enjoy a plethora of seafood offerings alongside Coca’s tantalising house specialities such as Fish Glue, Shrimp Paste, and Handmade Dumplings, complemented by an assortment of fresh seasonal vegetables and meat selection. For those seeking an elevated dining experience, savour premium options like the lobster buffet.

Customer Reviews

World Peace
The food is absolutely amazing, and super worth it. The lobster is free flow as we went for the Premium , very fresh, and importantly its spiny lobster, not Boston lobster. Spiny lobsters are generally more expensive. The beef and mutton is of good quality, with the beef ribs having good marbling. Will definitely come again.

Julius Tan
My long time go to for steamboat. Have been patronising Coca for at more than a decade. Absolutely love their Suki sauce. The new lunch buffet is great with many extra options as well as drinks and a one time dessert. The last time I went the service was horrendous, one of the plump wait staff is just horrible, doesn’t answers or responds to you and gets requests wrong as well. Maybe Coca needs to retrain their staff.

Adeline Ee
This is my go-to place for a good hot pot dinner. The soup flavours are tasty and spread and variety of food is great. Their signature coca sauce goes very well with the food. The service also makes a lot of difference. Anthony Tan always makes us feel special and pays great attention to our needs. We always have a great dining experience when Anthony is there at the restaurant. It’s one of the reasons why we pick coca At Takashimaya.

Sorry this photo does not justify the food but it’s the only photo i took. Too busy enjoying ourselves. Princess, our server, was fantastic. She was very professional and courteous. If i’m not wrong she is Filipino. She made our day. 👍

Yan Li
Gorogoro has been my comfort food since my college days some 10 years ago. This is the place I bring my friends and classmates. And today this is where I bring my colleagues. The variety of food available is great value for the price. For meats, I recommend the beef short plate and the marinated beef and for seafood I recommend the juicy and succulent octopus legs. Simply delicious. There are also Korean style cooked food available and I wholeheartedly recommend the fried chicken – its skin is crispy and sweet and meat tender. For soup base, I recommend fiery mala and collagen combination. The collagen is especially rich and tastes really good. Drinks and condiments are available without additional cost, a rare find among steamboat restaurants these days. Service crew is friendly and Gorogoro does not suffer from lack of manpower affecting some other steamboat restaurants. Plates are cleared quickly. For alcohol lovers gorogoro has soju available as separate purchase. I highly recommend Gorogoro for any occasion!

Its renowned offerings include signature dishes like braised abalone head, succulent red garoupa, flavorful claypot sea cucumber, and the iconic Whampoa Keng prawn paste chicken wings.

Customer Reviews

Elaine C.
Ordered the small Red Garoupa fish steamboat and broth was fabulous. The soup broth tasted good without being too salty.  The fish slices were thick and tender and the serving was enough for two. The chips that were served as appetisers were very crunchy and yummy. The same goes for the prawn rolls which were very well-fried and tasty. Service was swift, food was served pretty quickly and staff regularly top up the soup. Staff were also polite and attentive. Ordered some potato leaves, tofu and prawn paste chicken back and feedback from the family was good too. Overall, good dining experience. Reservations are required as the seating capacity is not huge.

Dominic Chong
Food is totally awesome! Fish steamboat soup very tasty. Ordered tofu, potato leaves, prawn paste chicken. All are good. Recommended! Do make sure you make reservations as the restaurant is always full house.

SK
My dad’s favourite place for fish head steamboat so we went there for his birthday lunch. We chose the badang fish option which had no bones so that it’s easier for everyone to eat. The soup was sweet and delicious and fish was fresh. We also ordered their signature homemade tofu, prawn paste chicken (prawn paste taste is strong!), qinglong vegetables, clay pot pig liver and all were good. My favourite is still the soup. Will come back again but recommended to make reservations for big groups cause the restaurant is quite small.

First time here after hearing good reviews about this individual hotpot. Ordered sukiyaki and white curry hotpot, and we totally loved it. The broth was delicious and food was fresh. In conjunction with their 2nd anniversary promotion, we also got the 1 for 1 beef oyster blade at $15 for 2 sets. Overall we had enjoyed our hot pot dinner here.

tomyumdumpling
Visited the place for lunch. The service was really helpful in explaining the options and the ordering process. The soup base is really flavourful and delicious! Although the portions may look small at the start, it is actually quite filling. Definitely a satisfying meal.

Step into Tong Xin Ru Yi, a little slice of China nestled in the vibrant heart of Boat Quay. At this steamboat in Singapore, you can indulge in the freshest and highest quality ingredients that ensure each mouthful is a harmonious blend of nutrition and flavour. If you’re adventurous, you can opt for options like the Spicy Rabbit Pot and rabbit kidney.

Customer Reviews

Ida Einjaw
I’ve not came to Clarke Quay for more than 10 years and I hopped here for their rabbit 😏. I’ve eaten rabbit at a couple of French restaurants but they are always dry and overcooked. Tong Xin Ru Yi’s rabbit is damn tender and tasty! The sauce is mildly spicy and taste a bit like curry and it’s not oily. This is the best rabbit I ever had. Chinese cuisine is still the best. 5/5 stars. Their shanghai scallion oil free range chicken is damn tender and juicy too. Better than any chicken rice chicken here. 5/5. The bull frog skewers are like the biggest fried chicken wings I’ve ever eaten. The batter is the potato starch thin and sticky kind. 5/5. Their egg fried rice is good too 5/5. The ambience of the restaurant is very clean, modern and comfortable too. For a place like that looks like this I’ve thought the prices will be sky high to con tourists but their prices are ok.

Jo
One of the best hotpot places in SG! Tried both the chicken and tomato soup and both are very good and unique, unlike other hotpot places. What is also good about this place is the cooked food, would highly recommend getting the spring onion soy sauce steamed chicken, fried mala pork and fried mochi with brown sugar! Do note that you will need to reserve otherwise it’s also impossible to walk-in!

Chin Yung Goh
One of the Best Hotpot in SG , should try their Sour & Spicy broth . Side dish fried frog leg crispy and juicy , and the bing fen just nice.

We were a group of 5, advisable to make a reservation as the restaurant was filled up after 6pm. We each have our own soup pot to cook our items. The service staff constantly came by to refill our pots without us asking. The sauces offered have lots of variety, there were also side dishes as appetisers. They also served other fried/finger foods (but we didn’t try). Nice chill out place with friends. Highly recommended!

Eric Lee
Went on a Wednesday evening. Ordered set for two and additional mantou. Place is almost filled (90%). Atmosphere: Tables a little too close. Service. Nice service. Staff were helpful and refilled the soup without us asking and waiting. Food. Its individual pot, good during this period. Food- impressively very fresh.

Joseph Phang
This was our first visit and the staff were approachable, friendly and helpful. There’s a lady staff name Mei Ling 美龄 was extremely helpful to get a seat for us and also get our order because we were unsure with the scanning order. Keep it up the hardwork, Mei Ling! Good job!
